Nikolskaya Street is a pedestrian street in the Moscow. It connects Red Square and Lubyanka Square. It was known as the Street of the 25th of October between 1935 and 1990. Here you can find the Kazan Cathedral, the Old Mint, the Monastery of the Holy Saviour , the Greek monastery of St. Nicholas (from which this street got its name), as well as the former Synodal printing office, the first publishing house in Russia , GUM and the assumption Church, an example of Baryshsky Naryshkin, founded by the Saltykov boyar family in 1691. Usually this street is crowded, but now there are no people here during the pandemic covid 19.
