FIFA 20, which traditionally shows excellent sales in the country-the parent of football, won back the leadership in the fight against the life simulator Animal Crossing: New Horizons during the reporting week.

The annual soccer simulator managed to jump to the top of the chart, even with a 7% drop in sales. However, "New Horizons" had even worse-the figures for the exclusive Nintendo Switch console sank by 32%. This was the main factor in losing the top position.
Despite the fact that the volume of sales of the two best-selling games in the reporting week decreased, the rest of the projects in the chart are not so bad. For example, the third-place shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare added 36%, and the top-5 criminal action film Grand Theft Auto 5 performed even better (+52%). But the most outstanding growth was shown by the racing arcade Mario Kart 8: Deluxe, soaring by three positions at once (+98%).
Fitness game Ring Fit Adventure, which a week earlier was on the fourth line of the chart, again flew out of the top ten and ended up in the fifteenth position. The innovative adventure project has been running a fever for the past six weeks as separate batches are available for sale, which are immediately sold out at lightning speed.
The only new release was the off-road driving simulator Snowrunner, which the press called "racing Death Stranding" after parody videos from the developers, debuted at the twelfth line. Loyal fans couldn't get past the sequel to the 2017 game called Mudrunner.
Despite the ongoing quarantine regime, under which many retailers are still closed, and in the absence of any major new releases, in the last seven days, retail chains managed to sell 16% more physical copies than a week earlier-more than 234,000 disks were sold. Sales of boxed versions of games for Xbox One, PS4 and Switch increased by 23%, 19% and 9%, respectively.
