In the Wake of leaks of the plot of The Last of Us Part II, technical details of the upcoming game began to appear. In particular, it was confirmed that it will receive full support for PS4 Pro and offer users an image in 4K resolution.

However, unlike other PS4 exclusives such as God of War and Horizon Zero Dawn, where 4K image was achieved thanks to staggered rendering, Naughty Dog's creation has a resolution of 2560 × 1440, later stretched to 4K. This became known from leaked videos where debugging information for developers is displayed in the corner.
As for frame rate, The Last of Us Part II runs on the PS4 Pro at 30 FPS.
In addition, the approximate size of the game became known. Sony reopened pre-orders and at the same time updated the requirements for free space on the hard disk, noting that The Last of Us Part II will take about 100 GB and will be released on two disks.
This makes The Last of Us Part II the second "volume" game for this year. The same amount of hard disk space is occupied by the remake of Final Fantasy 7. Another of the heavyweights is Red Dead Redemption 2, which was also released on two disks, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, whose weight after a huge patch reached 100 GB, and with new updates risks exceeding all 200 GB.
The Last of Us Part II will be released exclusively on PS4 on June 19, 2020.
