Star Wars: Battlefront II - DICE is scaling back support for the game, a new part of Battlefield will be released next year

DICE Studio has announced that the release of the "Battle of Scarif" update for Star Wars: Battlefront II will be the last major update, after which support for the game will be discontinued. This is stated in a recent press release.

Despite the fact that Battlefront II was at the center of a scandal related to loot boxes, the shooter was supported for more than two years, releasing 26 updates. However, the "Battle for Scarif" from the movie "Rogue one" will be the last in the season of The Age of Rebellion, although the developers promise to continue to support the rotation of events and fix minor flaws.

As part of the update on April 29, the game will add a new map, which was originally released in 2015 for Star Wars: Battlefront. In addition, the Supremacy and Instant Action modes will be expanded: not only Skarif, but also Hoth, Tatooine, Yavin IV and the Second Death Star will be added to the list of maps. However, there are drawbacks: in the Supremacy mode on Skarif and the Death Star, spaceships will be unavailable, which the developers decided not to add, citing difficulties....
