In a week and a half of early access for Mount & Blade 2, Bannerlord released almost 400 modifications: from small, bug fixes, to large-scale, changing the balance of half the game. We tried to understand them.
You can download and read about all modification packages for Mount & Blade 2 Bannerlord on our website: Uniongames.net
From these 400, we selected a dozen and a half of the most useful modifications, trying to focus on improving the quality of the game. There are no big balancing mods here — no one knows how Bannerlord will change with the next patch.
But the list includes modifications that implement useful gameplay features or just make the game's characters more beautiful; their developers are unlikely to break one of the future updates. First, let's talk about how to put modifications.
How to install modifications
The easiest way is to use Vortex, a special Manager developed by the NexusMods team and supporting Mount & Blade 2 Bannerlord. If you really want to, you can set mods manually.
To do this, place the modification folder in the Mount & Blade II Bannerlord/Modules directory, and then enable the modification in the game launcher.
This is important: in the case of self-installation, you should find all the dll files in the modification folder, open their options, and if there is an unlock button in the window that appears, click button.
Download Better Auto Calc mod
Description: this is a standard algorithm for automatically calculating the results of the battle works suboptimally: weak units can thin out even very strong fighters. Keehu Modder reworked the algorithm — now looters will not tolerate cataphracts.
Download Fire Lord mod
Description: Introduces historically accurate fire arrows and completely unreliable flaming weapons. It can be extinguished and lit at any time, using the settings you can prohibit the use of such arrows to everyone except yourself.
