HISTORY OF THE AMERICAN SOLDIER
When you believe in something greater than yourself, something that exists in a complex place of passion that few people understand, you attack it with complete purpose and conviction. "Ronin" is just the name of a retired Sergeant major for the Lama. He gave his life to the army for 22 years, pursuing the life of a warrior, always sacrificing his country and never thinking of himself.
Lam and his family fled the Communist government of Vietnam in 1979, when he was still a boy, escaping on an overloaded boat, and eventually arrived in the United States, where he went to basic training the day after graduating from high school.
He graduated from airborne school, Ranger school, and a one-year special forces refresher course, and in 1997 was assigned as a green beret to the 1st battalion, 1st special forces group in Okinawa. Seven years later, Lam was selected to join the 1st task force of the army special forces, and the sixth seal group is the main anti-terrorism units of the us military.
Lam, who now lives in Colorado springs, is one of the founders of Ronin Tactics, a company made up of other special forces operators that train clients in military shooting and tactical training.
His awards include the defense meritorious service medal, two meritorious service medals, three bronze stars, and the army valor medal. He graduated with honors from the American military University with a bachelor of arts degree in internal security and intelligence.
Lam teaches leadership lessons and how spirit and drive can lead people anywhere, regardless of their background, according to the invitation.
In retirement, lam began selling military equipment to U.S. citizens in a company called Ronin Tactics. According to the veteran, the Call of Duty franchise is a favorite among military personnel who play it to boost morale.
"It's just part of the army culture. In SWAT, we would go on missions, and then the guys would come back and play [Call of Duty]. It [increases] the morale of our fighters abroad".
Lam visited the Infinity Ward Studio in Los Angeles, where developers captured his moves to create an authentic-looking character model. The veteran also performed the execution of Ronin, which can be seen in the game or in the Instagram video.
You can purchase Ronin in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for 2,400 in-game credits.
