Leading Japanese gaming publications Famitsu and Dengeki conducted a large survey among their readers on the topic of the best games of 2019. The overall results were shared by journalists today on the joint stream of Famitsu Dengeki Game Awards 2019.

The leader in the number of wins was the action-adventure film Death Stranding - it received the most votes in four categories. At the same time, project Manager Hideo Kojima was named "most valuable developer" - the best developer of the year.
However, the most important award of the Famitsu Dengeki Game Awards 2019 ceremony was not taken by Death Stranding with Hideo Kojima, but by Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield for Nintendo Switch. They won the "Best game of 2019" category.
The best screenplay award went to 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim from Atlus and Vanillaware for PlayStation 4.in the West, this game has not yet been released - it is expected until the end of 2020.
