In the end of March 2020, the State Commission for Improving Economic Stability approved the list of 646 systematically important companies whose stable operation is a priority for the country in the context of the collapse in oil prices and the coronavirus pandemic.
“Being one of the major pharmaceutical companies in Russia, Sintez joined this list (No.85). The portfolio of the enterprise contains more than 300 items with 84 VED among them. In 2019, we produced over 300 million packages of drugs and medical devices. The coverage is easy to calculate – roughly 2 packages per person in Russia,” explains Sergey Klykov, Sintez CEO.
The plant is the leader in antibiotic, penicillin, and cephalosporin production. From the stage of substances preparation, most antibacterial drugs go through the full-cycle production in Kurgan.
Sintez produces about 300 million medical product packages annually. More than 35% of products are made from its own pharmaceutical substances. By the end of 2019, the profit of the company has reached 10.6 billion rubles.
