I've received this as a gift when I've bought the Liftactiv eye serum and eye cream for my beloved auntie (it's her birthday soon). I decided to keep it for myself and try it out😊 never used a vitamin C and I was curious😏
The first thing that drew my attention is the little volume (10ml or 0.3fl.oz) and its big price (~50$)💵 This gotta be an amazing product to make me buy it😆
I looked into the ingredients that went into this product, and a few things stood out for me: it contains 15% pure vitamin C🧡(one of the highest concentrations), natural origin fragmented Hyaluronic Acid💧(this is a key ingredient for plumpness and hydration of skin), vitamin E💦 (for a boost of antioxidant activity), and has a pH value of 2.5👨🔬, which is deemed as the most optimal for effective product penetration into the skin.
The alcohol in top3️⃣ is concerning me, and I've looked into formulations to find out if everyone is adding it - it seems to be it's everywhere, accompanying the high concentrations of vitamin C. This is one of the reasons I was afraid to use a serum like this in the past.
There are no unnecessary ingredients like fragrances, colorants, silicons, parabens and texturing agents, and the formula is hypoallergenic.
About the texture - it’s a pretty lightweight✨ liquid, and it actually absorbed into my skin rather quickly. I found it easier to pat the product in, rather than smooth it across the skin. The skin feels a tad sticky after application, and it started to tingle a few seconds later. This was surprising for me since I did not expect this. The tingle is mild though, and now I understand why they keep repeating in the instructions to avoid the eye and lip area.
I applied a generous amount of soothing cream after it (I was expecting some redness and irritation, because of the high level of alcohol and high concentration of vitamin C). I have to say, this helped me and no discomfort occurred😌
I almost emptied this baby and I see my pores are getting smaller and I have that glow🌟 I'd like to try another vitamin C product, without alcohol, please!✌️
