The package is worth taking attention to. The sturdy matte dark brown translucent plastic bottle with a black pump and clear, plastic cap. The outer box is made of eco-friendly cardboard, and there should be a hologram sticker on top of the box to check for authenticity.

The BENTON Snail Bee High Content Essence is tested under dermatological control. Snail Secretion Filtrate, Bee Venom, sh-Oligopeptide-1, and various botanical extracts are used to help improve your complexion. NOTABLE INGREDIENTS:

  • Snail Secretion Filtrate: Wonder beauty ingredient that contains skin-friendly antioxidants, proteins, elastin, and glycolic acids. It helps to repair photodamage and is especially helpful for blemish-prone, uneven skin tone, and post-blemish scarring.
  • Glycerin: An unsung hero available in many skincare formulations; it is a humectant which primarily serves to hydrate skin and aid in moisture retention.
  • Niacinamide: A form of Vitamin B3 that aids in boosting collagen production and in turn strengthening the skin’s natural lipid barrier. Over time, may also provide brightening and anti-aging benefits as well as reducing the appearance of enlarged pores.
  • Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Extract: Best known to be cooling and soothing, and helps to heal wounds and/or inflamed skin. It also has antioxidant properties so it provides antioxidant benefits. Consists of 99.5% water.
    sh-Oligopeptide-1
: Plays a role in the production of collagen and elastin, hence aids in skin regeneration to replace damaged or dead skin.
  • Bee Venom: A peptide found in bee venom that can assist in collagen production and contains beneficial enzymes.
  • Beta Glucan: A yeast-derived sugar with antioxidant properties that soothes the skin, and is particularly excellent for sensitive or red skin.
  • Betaine: An amino acid that works as a humectant and reduces irritation.
  • Adenosine: It has skin-restoring and skin-soothing benefits.
  • Panthenol: A provitamin of B5 that moisturizes the skin, improves barrier function, and promotes keratinocyte differentiation, meaning it helps keep everything working optimally on the cellular level which is great for overall skin health. It may also help treat dermatitis and burn injuries.
  • Allantoin: Moisturizes, soothes dry irritated skin, and has some minor exfoliating properties by softening the horny layer of skin. A couple mice studies have also shown that Allantoin helps with wound healing.
  • Arginine: An amino acid with antioxidant properties.

It’s because it has a stellar ingredient list that does a little bit of everything while cutting out all the unnecessary ingredients that are little more than filler. Almost every single ingredient in this essence has some kind of benefit on the cellular and skin level.

The formula is very balanced and well stabilized. The essence claims to be unscented (no artificial fragrance nor essential oils) and indeed, my sensitive nose does not detect much at all. The texture is a clear viscous gel consistency that melts into a watery texture once spread onto the skin. Leaves a light, mostly matte, hydrating finish with a slight tackiness which, fortunately, doesn’t feel uncomfortable at all.

My point of view - I’ve been using the BENTON Snail Bee High Content Essence for a few weeks now, and this is great for those suffering from sensitive skin issues! I love how soothed and moisturized my skin feels every time I use this essence, and it’s definitely a product I’d love to keep in my skincare arsenal for days when I don’t want to worry about potentially irritating my skin because obviously, with its note-worthy ingredient list and formulation, it does just the opposite!

In terms of brightening, I didn’t notice an immediate huge improvement in my pigmentation/acne scars, but I think it does help as a booster to quicken the process when used in conjunction with more potent ingredients such as Vitamin C. Although, I have noticed that this essence helps to calm down my skin when it’s plagued with skin irritation and inflamed acne, so that’s great considering these are my main skin concerns. In conclusion, YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary – what works for me may not work for you), but this is definitely a product worth giving a try in my honest opinion.
