The Face Shop Jeju Volcanic Lava Peel-Off Clay Nose Mask - Review

Hello, beauties! Hello, sunshines! Spring is in the air, which means the skin is becoming oilier (shoutout to people with oily or combination skin, like me!).

This product was featured in my February skincare empties post, make sure to check that out! ~

The product that I'm gonna be reviewing today is from the brand The Face Shop. The FaceShop originates from South Korea and Korea skincare products are famously known for having advanced skincare innovation to achieve that flawless skin.

The Jeju Volcanic Peel-Off Clay Nose Mask claims to target blackheads, impurities, and grease that lingers deep in your pores with volcanic clay. It's supposed to clear your pores and help control excess sebum production.

The tube contains 50 grams of product. The packaging isn't anything special and is quite plain. The product itself is white and has a sticky and thick consistency.

The manufacturer recommends to use this mask the following way:

  1. Steam your face to open the pores
  2. Cleanse your face
  3. Apply an even and thick layer of the product across clean and dry skin
  4. Wait for 10-15 minutes and peel off

The ingredients list has left me speechless. Basically, this is a mix of alcohols with some antistatic agents. This product would be very aggressive for the sensitive, dry and combination skin.

My verdict - It did take out some blackheads and my face felt softer. However, it was painful to take off. I had little tears dropping down. The product is difficult to apply. You really need to coat this product on your face to get a decent rip from it. The problem I have with this mask is that it's hard to layer the product on your skin since it's so sticky that when you try the product just attracts to your fingers and becomes patchy. The product didn't do much and I didn't notice a tremendous difference.

Overall, I wouldn't rebuy this product again. I don't think it's worth it. The cons overweight the pros.
