A New Restaurant Festival was Established in St. Petersburg. Guests Can Enjoy Cuisine of the 19th Century

In February, St. Petersburg will launch a new restaurant project dedicated to the city's gastronomic history. It will be part of the Three Centuries of St. Petersburg Cuisine festival, which will be held on February 17–29.

As part of this event, St. Petersburg restaurants will present the dishes based on the recipes from the St. Petersburg Cuisine book by Ignatius Radetsky which was published in the 19th century. Recipes from the century before last are adapted to current realities and products, but the spirit of the original dishes will stay the same.

About 20 restaurants have already shown their willingness to participate in the festival: Severyanin, Blok, Commons, Gusi-Lebedi, The Repa and many others. At the end of the festival, it is planned to publish an illustrated recipe book.

The organizers of the project are Kirill Ziminov and Stanislav Smirnov, more detailed information can be viewed at the link.
