On January 26, the Muruzi House located on 24 Liteyny Avenue launched an apartment museum to Joseph Brodsky in a pilot mode. Private tours will be held in one and a half rooms until the end of May. And on May 24, on the 80th Anniversary of Brodsky's birthday, the museum will open its doors to all citizens of St Petersburg.
The first event in the Joseph Brodsky Apartment Museum took place on January 26, where the writer, journalist, TV host Leonid Parfenov delivered a lecture. Private tours for groups of 15 people will begin this week in the one and a half rooms. Pavel Kotlyar, editor of the Brodsky.online project, noted that the first tours can be held for free, and in the future, it is planned to organize 2–3 tours per week. Tours require advance registration. Tickets will be available on the project website.
It was planned to open the Joseph Brodsky Museum in the "one and a half rooms" on Liteyny Avenue in May 2020, for the 80th anniversary of the poet's birthday. This cultural space will be created thanks to the Brodsky Museum Foundation and businessman Maksim Levchenko.
