Great Baikal Trail spring eco-project "Warm Northern Baikal" will take place March 18-23 in Severobaikalsk.
The long-term goal of the project: Volunteer assistance to the local community, assistance in the development of ecological (socially responsible) tourism through educational classes in ecology and environmental protection with schoolchildren.

Every day of the project, volunteers will live in a hostel in Severobaikalsk. Together with GBT specialists, the group will develop lessons for children in ecology, environmental protection, volunteering and conduct several lessons in schools in the Severobaikalsk district. One day, the project participants will help organize and conduct ecotourism training for the local people.
In their free time, volunteers can walk on the ice of Lake Baikal and visit sightseeing points that offer great views of the city.
The group will be delighted with the treats of Buryat cuisine, they can visit the museum and discover the history of the design and construction of the Baikal-Amur Railway in the north of Buryatia. And the hottest news: volunteers will go to the hot thermal springs, which are famous in the North Baikal region! This spot is the best place to relax, heal and take beautiful pictures.
