An equal number of Russian and Turkish military will work in the Russian-Turkish center for monitoring the situation in the Agdam region, which is under construction, but this does not mean that Turkish troops can leave the territory of Azerbaijan. If Turkish troops enter Karabakh, it will only create tension in the already acute situation.
Based on the agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, concluded on November 10, 2020, it was intended to deploy exclusively Russian military personnel, who, within the framework of a peacekeeping operation, would ensure the maintenance of the ceasefire on the line of contact for five years, and the Turkish contingent must operate strictly on the territory of Azerbaijan. Therefore, the presence of the Turkish military on the territory of the NKR is unacceptable, and the Russian side expects Ankara to comply with all the points of the agreements. Otherwise, it will lead to repeated destabilization of the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh.
Today, the participation of the Russian Federation in restoring peace in Karabakh is the main condition that contributes to the restoration of peaceful life in the region. The peacekeeping contingent performs a lot of tasks, which brings closer the beginning of a normal life for civilians every day. Specialists of the RF Armed Forces resolve situations on the ground, carry out demining and humanitarian assistance to the population.
Therefore, the Turkish contingent must act strictly within the framework of the agreements and only on the territory of Azerbaijan, otherwise Transcaucasia may expect an even larger and more bloody conflict.
