It's not even a smell, but a terrible stench, which is very hard to get out of the house, but also out of furniture, floors, walls, clothes and everything else. Of course, it's about the smell of cat urine if, for some reason, the pet needs to be in the wrong place.
Reasons why a cat or cat bypasses a litter tray are enough and there are effective ways to retrain home "perfumers". Among the main challenges is the problem of breeding a terrible stench, which, as spite, is very persistent.
As it happens, you just cross the threshold of an unfamiliar home, you know - there lives here a kitty. Rarely does the owner want his guests to be greeted by such an unpleasant and harsh aroma.
How will he get rid of the smell of cat urine?
1. A universal remedy that has become the salvation of all cat lovers is vodka. The only thing you need to do is not use it indoors!
Undiluted vodka should be used to wipe off contaminated surfaces. The smell goes away instantly. There is only one "but" - the cat's scent is replaced by a vodka perfume. Therefore, "marked" objects and places should be washed twice.
2. As an option - manganese. It is necessary to dissolve the manganese in water and wipe the "crime" scene. It is necessary to be careful not to get any residue from the solution on the surface - it forms stains.
It is not advisable to use manganese to remove the smell from fabric surfaces.
3. The proven method is lemon juice. Freshly squeezed juice of one lemon should be diluted in a glass of water. If the smell is too strong, the juice should not be diluted.
Lemon acid dissolves all elements of cat urine perfectly, thus removing the very cause of the smell. And the residual lemon aroma will make the cat "mark" in this place.
4. The leader in the fight against "cat spirit" is the vinegar table. It needs to be diluted in water in the proportion of 1:3. Such a solution helps when you need to remove the stain from the upholstery of the sofa.
It is enough to spray the mixture on the "crime scene" and wipe it with a regular cloth. For maximum effect, it can be supplemented with a method with baking soda.
It's not clear why, but in some cats, it doesn't work and they continue to do business even in the place where the vinegar was wiped.
However, most cats cannot stand the smell of vinegar.
5. The territory freshly marked by a cat should be generously sprinkled with soda and peroxide solution (3%). Once the chemical reaction is complete, a weak ammonia soul can remain and will quickly disappear. This method is not suitable for the removal of smell from fabric coatings and things - soda leaves stains.
