Autumn... It's cloudy and gloomy, and you can't play in the sandbox for long. In place of molding kulichikov and building cities in the sandbox come other games - mobile. For example, ball games. And we like games on the stairs. This is not only fun, but also useful: strengthen the leg muscles, and train the respiratory system. And if you take your toys for a walk (quite suitable and ordinary sandboxes), the game on the steps will be even more interesting for the baby. Try it!
Going and playing
You think a staircase is simple, boring and nothing special? No, it's not like that... Let's start with a simple one. You can even walk on the stairs in different ways: forward, backward, sideways, crossing your legs... The first games on the stairs are just related to these movements.
Game 1. One step, two steps, will be a ladder. One word, two words will be a song.
Hold the baby by the hand, or next to the baby, if he is already big enough, go up the stairs and eat or tell a poem. If you walk slowly, one step is one word. If you go quickly - one step - one syllable. It is good if the number of steps on the stairs corresponds to the number of words or syllables in your song or poem.
When your son was young and was just learning to climb and descend the stairs, we used these simple verses:
Hey! Let's sing a song,
How to walk down the stairs!
Ladder ladder!
That's what a song is!
(Ya. Perepechina, an excerpt)
Up the stairs, down the stairs.
To the very top.
I'm climbing a miracle,
And here I am above all else!
(I. Piculin, excerpt)
One step at a time,
Two steps.
He was walking down the stairs, son.
And the stairs are high,
And the steps aren't easy.
One step,
Two steps...
My friend's tired.
We will stand,
Let's get some rest,
And again.
onward
let's go!
(A. Orlova)
Then simple poems appeared, in which there was an order of magnitude:
Quiet, mice, cat on the roof
Quiet, mice, cat on the roof,
and the kittens are even taller.
The cat went to get milk,
and the kittens are in the middle of nowhere.
The cat came without milk,
and the kittens are ha-ha-ha-ha.
Э. Assumption
"The tiger went for a walk.
One, two, three, four, five,
The tiger went out for a walk.
They forgot to lock him up.
One, two, three, four.
В. Levin
"The Mouse Counter."
One, two, three, four.
Let's count the holes in the cheese.
If there are a lot of holes in the cheese,
Then the cheese will be delicious.
If there is one hole in it,
So it was delicious yesterday.
В. Levin
"First count for the cat."
One, two, three, four, five.
The cat learns to count.
Slowly, little by little
It adds a cat to the mouse.
It gives you an answer:
There is a cat, but not a mouse.
If the staircase is long, you can only go up or down. If the staircase is short, go up and down until the poem or song runs out.
A staircase can be compared to a mountain. The next three games are just about that.
Game 2. The baby is in a hurry to help!
Grab a toy from home - a doll or some animal. The kid stands at the bottom of the stairs, the toy is at the top. She climbed the mountain (stairs), but is afraid to go down! The kid needs to get to the toy, take it in his hands and go down with it.
But the natural conditions may be such that rescuers will have to get to the toy backwards or sideways. Let the baby train to walk on the stairs backwards on the front (be sure to insure your baby) and sideways. If your child only learns these movements, let him go backwards or sideways and come down as usual. Or vice versa.
Is there a timer on the phone? Make it a condition: in order to get to the toy and go down with it, the baby has only 10 seconds (time can take another, depending on the skills of the baby and the length of the stairs). Will she succeed? Have you succeeded? Let him try to improve his result next time.
Game 3. How to get through the swamp? - Part 1
If you have crayons, the way up or down can be "very" difficult. Draw small circles on the stairs so that the baby, climbing up, can consistently put his feet on the circles. Now the way to the top of the mountain is through the swamp. It is possible to go only on circles - to bumps. In the process of climbing possible options: if the baby made a mistake and stepped past the bump, he can correct and continue the game, or go back down and start all over again.
Game 4. Along the curve of the track
If the width of the stairs allows you to capture a few steps, draw a zigzag line on the steps so that it began at the bottom where the baby stands, and ended up at the top where the toy stands. Now the path-zigzag is the only way to the top of the mountain, around it there is an impassable swamp (quicksand, any other dangers).
Having passed all the dangers, the baby has to get to the toy and go back with it.
Game 5. How to get through the swamp? - Part 2
This game will teach your baby to step over the stairs. But the stairs must be so high and so wide that your baby can step over them. Check this when you offer your baby a game.
Remember last time we drew bumps in the swamp? For this game we need them again. But we need to draw them not on every step, but after one. And the baby will have to climb the mountain this time, stepping only on the bumps and stepping over the stairs.
If you have a high staircase, you can make it a little more difficult for your baby: somewhere draw circles, bumps through the stairs, and somewhere on each. Climbing up, it is important not to make a mistake, otherwise you have to go back down and start all over again.
Game 5. Left-right, or a very difficult way up
You can walk up and down the stairs not only face and backwards, but also sideways. You can also walk sideways in different ways: walking with one foot all the time or crossing your legs. A step with crossing legs is very difficult for babies. Here visual clues can come to the rescue. You can draw two letters sideways on the stairs - P and L and each leg put its own letter: the right leg - on the letter P, the left leg - on the letter L.
But, as in the last game, before offering a game to your baby, check that the baby, crossing his legs, can reach the next step.
Game 6. "Bear in the wood" on the stairs
Place stones, bumps or sandstones on the stairs. Give your baby a bucket and offer to collect all the items by climbing the stairs. You can imagine that these are mushrooms - berries, and then the game can turn into a famous game "At the bear in the boron. Climbing up, the baby picks berry mushrooms, and you sentence:
The bear on the hog
Mushrooms, berries,
When the baby comes upstairs, it turns out the bear woke up. The baby's task is to go down quickly, running away from the angry bear:
And the bear does not sleep
And growling at us!
Uh, now he will catch us!
You can play this game on the contrary: picking mushrooms - berries, the baby goes down, and running away from the bear, goes upstairs.
When the baby will be able to step up and down the stairs, offer him to run up and down the stairs.
Game 7. Two forward, one backward - so go down each time
Arrange with the baby that you will conquer the mountain - climb the stairs. But suddenly there was a strong wind (in winter it can be a story that a blizzard or a blizzard has begun). Strong wind prevents you from going. You will have to climb very slowly, always going backwards: two steps forward, one step back, two steps forward, one step back, etc.
If you want to get up faster, you can go like this: three or four steps forward, one step back...
This way you can not only climb up, but also down the stairs. It's a great way to train your way up and down the stairs backwards. Also, this game is useful for training your baby's ability to control their movements and for training patience.
