He grabbed Miriel by the elbow and pulled himself into the hallway. At the turn, he pushed her to the right, commanded her:
- Go to your room, quickly!
And he rushed to the left. Miri watched him after, and then ran after him. No, no, it's not, to be locked up when there's a fight - the wrong one was attacked! The fiery fairy will not stand aside.
Arelato instantly disappeared from sight, and the girl was wandering in a rocky labyrinth at random. The polyphonic noise showed her the way. She went to the voices and saw people running through the big bivalve doors. No one noticed her - the magicians had no time to look around.
Hiding around the corner, Miri waited for Randu to get inside. The doors remained open - no one cared to close them. The fairy ran up to them and looked carefully.
She immediately recognized the very same room where she got from the portal with Remidea. It seems that all two hundred of Randu's magicians are now gathered in it. They were standing in the wrong line, holding their hands in front of their breasts and closing their eyes. And in the far side of the hall dazzlingly sparkled Diamond Armor.
For a moment, Miri closed her eyes - the glow burned her eyes even from a distance. Arelato was in Dogeh. The fairy's sharp gaze distinguished his gloomy, concentrated face from afar.
If she could understand how he controlled it! Eavesdrop on his thoughts now, as he constantly eavesdrops on her. She would have learned magic...
Miri somehow hinted to Arelato that she wouldn't mind learning how to cast a spell. He smiled and said that the talents of fairies to magic should not be lost in vain. If she was doing magic and was able to get close to Armor...
The crystalline glow attracted and enticed the girl. Unwittingly, she took a step forward, and more. She herself did not notice how she ended up in the hall. And she saw thin shimmering threads intertwining magicians Randu with each other. It was as if a silver spider's web covered the audience, and its ends stretched to the Armor.
Each Randu's fingers moved, weaving invisible patterns. No one turned towards Miri. But the girl still hastily stepped back - at any moment someone could open her eyes. And Arelato himself could have noticed her.
She stepped over the threshold... And suddenly she looked at him with cold brown eyes. Orshava.
Miri felt the cold current holding her in her arms and legs. She couldn't take any more steps, not even to move. She stood still on the threshold of a huge hall and looked at the magicians Randu, focused on the magical action.
So passed the hour. And the next. And a few more hours. Miriel thought it would never end - the trembling walls and the immobility of her own body. Randu is also motionless, like stone statues - except for her moving fingers. These fingers seemed to be living a separate life from frozen bodies. Orshava's caustic, unpleasant look... Could have made Miri look like salt in a mortar if the witch hadn't been afraid to disobey her Grand Master.
And then came the silence. Randu was again repulsed by the attack of enemies - even though they were not ready for it. The silver cobweb faded away. Two hundred magicians woke up in an instant from numbness, sighed at once. They whispered, turning to each other. Someone watched as Arelato got out of Diamond Armor. And someone noticed Miri and now with curiosity looked at the stranger.
Arelato approached us with a slow step. There was a black flame in his eyes. Well, now he will burn it himself, thought Miri. But what is she to blame for?! She herself went to kiss a fairy who refused to choose him. Hell knows no mercy.
Miri saw how tightly his lips were squeezed. His fists are clenched, his eyebrows are frowning. If she had been a magician, she would have seen a purple-black aura around the Grand Master. All of Randu saw her and were frightened backwards. One Orshava stood still withstanding the teacher's gaze, full of rage.
He threw Orshava through his teeth, aloud in Cordillia:
- Take her away and lock her up.
He turned around and left the hall. Almost jumped out. Miri thought how the whip driver whipped his ass. The next moment she had no time for comparison. A magical stream sparkled from behind her. Orshava, as if it wasn't enough for her to sniff out the fairy with magic, also pushed her palm to the doors.
- Come on, Remidian miracle, stomp to your side!
Mirielle stuck herself in the jolt and almost fell to the floor with a tie. Orshava's magic kept her on her feet like a huge invisible pillow. And immediately dragged her against her will through the stone corridor.
Miri felt like she was being accompanied by Randu's looks. Curious, sympathetic, bewildered. Not everyone knew about the Remidian prisoner, and many of those who knew, saw for the first time. Wasn't it the last time? - The girl thought, when the bedroom door slammed behind Orshava. Will Arelato let her out of the room that became Miri's cage now?
