5 books that have been wonderfully filmed

So, uh...

1. "Dog Heart" by Mikhail Bulgakov (1925)

"Dog heart." Directed by Vladimir Bortko (1988)

Both at the highest level. Famous Professor Philip Preobrazhensky is conducting an experiment transplanting a human pituitary gland and seed glands to the dog Balloon. As a result, the animal is transformed into a rather unpleasant type - Polygraph Sharikov. The creature is like two drops of water like a donor - Klim Chugunkin. Constant scandals, boorishness, and propensity for criminal activity induce Preobrazhensky to admit the experiment failed and conduct the reverse operation.

Several works by Mikhail Bulgakov were merged into a screen version. The scene with the séance is described in another story, the episode in the circus was taken from a short feuilleton published in the newspaper. The songs, which are sung at the meetings, were composed at the request of the director and a couple of other moments. But to me - this is one of the best films of the late Soviet Union, which did not shame the great story of the brilliant Bulgakov.

2. "Moment of truth." Vladimir Bogomolov (1974)

"In August of '44." Directed by Mikhail Ptashuk (2000)

Although the author did not like the script at all, I think the movie turned out to be very cool. One of the best in the post-Soviet period.

The events take place on August 1944 on the territory of liberated Belarus. In the rear of the Soviet troops there are enemy agents. A radio station with call signs "KAO" is regularly aired, transmitting encrypted radiograms. Counterintelligence officers from SMERSH, three young officers headed by Captain Alyokhin, are instructed to find the enemy's reconnaissance team as soon as possible.

Excellent selection of actors, good director's work, tried to be careful of the details. Well done, in general. Yes, the book and the film are somewhat different. The approach, let's say, is different. But, I will admit, personally, I think that the film is very good. And the book is beautiful. Moreover, it is better to read it not even before, and after watching the movie - you will not regret it.

3. The "Most True" Grigory Gorin (1974)

"The same Munchausen." Directed by Mark Zakharov (1979)

Gorin and Zakharov's creative tandem is gorgeous. They have created so many bright, interesting and clever works. My favorite is, of course, the "Formula of Love", and three times, of course, it is Munchausen.

Baron Carl Hieronymus von Munchausen is perceived by others as a fictionalist living in the world of his fantasies. However, they have a strange property to be a reality. Baron proudly says that he is famous not for his exploits, but for the fact that he never lies. He really doesn't know how to lie, even when it would be good for him or his family. He is disliked by the very idea of lying for profit or "out of decency". And even for the sake of love.

It's a very cool film for thinking people and no less interesting book. Gorina, in general, is pleasant and interesting to read. A good basis, brilliant humor, deep thoughts-actors, and the director simply it is successful and qualitatively open.

4. "Lawyer", "Lawyer-2" Andrey Konstantinov (1997)

"Bandit St. Petersburg. Film 2. Lawyer". Directed by Vladimir Bortko (2000)

I think a lot of people will be surprised by this position. But I really took a great interest in this book in my time, why I almost failed the exam, because I couldn't lose it until I read everything. And yes, I believe that the 10-part serial series on the book was created very even talented. Everything else in this series in the movie is not worth attention, but it is "Lawyer" is very good.

The complex intertwining of the fate of university friends Oleg Zvantsev, Sergei Chelischev and Katie against the background of Bandit lawlessness. Love, passion, betrayal, duty, and a painful attempt to remain human. Well written and well filmed.

5. Alexey Rybakov's "Cork" (1948)

"The dirty one." Directed by Nikolai Kalinin (1973)

Since childhood, I loved this wonderful trilogy of Anatoly Rybakov. Everything is qualitatively written, and the main thing is interesting. And the films (well, at least 2 of them) were made successfully and well. And after a lot of thinking, I decided that the first film and book is the most perfect fit.

The Civil War in Russia, 1921. In a small town their grandson Misha Polyakov, a schoolboy from Moscow, is visiting his grandparents. He and his friend Genke Petrov accidentally falls into the hands of a dagger, which belonged to the officer of the battleship "Empress Maria". A mystery is connected with the corticoat - a former officer from the dead battleship, a White Guard officer, and now the gang leader, Valery Sigismundovich Nikitsky, is looking for him. A friend of Misha's - the commander of the Red Army Polevoy - tries to save the dirty court by all means, and Misha helps him in this. Misha and Genka go to Moscow.
