In the spring, the temperature rises, and the changes in indoor temperature and humidity may cause the floor and furniture to shrink and crack at any time. Some solid wood floor tips laws allow the floor to glow in the spring. And I give these tips special to you! ;)
First rule: the quantity of floor waxing should not be frequent
The weather in the spring is dry, especially in the current indoor heating, which easily leads to a drier indoor air. To make the floor “skin” more moist and moist, increasing the number of floor waxing to prolong its life has become a choice for many people.
Properly waxing the floor can prevent moisture, damage, increase surface luminosity and facilitate cleaning, but if the waxing frequency is too frequent, it will cause damage to the floor. Frequent waxing can cause waxy wax layers to superimpose, and there will be a layer of gray in the middle of the wax layer, which affects the waxing effect.
At present, more and more families are laying laminate flooring. The surface of the laminate flooring is wear-resistant paper. The composition is “Al2O3”. This layer of metal makes the wax impervious to the interior of the floor and can only adhere to the floor surface. After waxing, people will leave footprints when walking. The surface of the floor will become like a "big flower face" for a long time, which affects the appearance of the floor and is difficult to wipe.
When the air is dry, the laminate flooring should not be waxed or cleaned with decontamination powder, and should not be polished with abrasive paper. It can be wiped with a wrung rag and then treated with a care solution. It is difficult to remove it with a special detergent. If the floor is made of solid wood flooring, the number of waxing should not be frequent.
Second rule: increase the humidity and avoid direct "water supplement"
Indoor drying easily causes cracking of the floor. Increasing the humidity of the floor surface can effectively alleviate the problem of cracking and lifting of the floor. However, it is not suitable for large-scale “water replenishment” for the floor hydration, but should actively adjust the indoor humidity.
In the spring, the temperature and humidity should be maintained. Generally, the temperature should be lower than 28 °C, and the humidity should be kept between 50% and 70%, and should not be lower than 40%. Such temperature and humidity can keep the wooden floor in a relatively indiscriminate state. If the natural humidity is not reached, humidifiers can be used to humidify.
When cleaning solid wood flooring, you can use a vacuum cleaner or broom to clean the surface dust, then wring it out and wring it out to a non-drip rag or mop to wipe the floor surface. In case of stubborn stains, wipe with a neutral cleaning solvent and wipe with a wrung cotton swab. Do not use organic solvents such as acid, alkaline solvents or benzine. The laminate floor can be wiped with a slightly moist mop to increase the surface moisture. If it is cracked at a local location, it should be filled and appropriately increased in humidity to facilitate the restoration of the floor.
If large-area flooding or partial blisters occur, or if there is water retention, dry it with a dry cloth and let the floor dry naturally. Do not use electric heaters to dry or expose to sunlight. Also, it is not possible to wipe with liquids such as aggressive gasoline and soapy water to avoid damaging the gloss of the floor surface.
Third rule: prevent small particles from scratching the floor
The small gravel stays on the floor surface for a long time, and through the round-trip movement, the traces of sand wear will appear on the floor surface. In addition to gravel, dust, hard-soled shoes, metal sharps, and glass tiles are the nemesis of the floor “skin”, especially in the spring in the north, where the problem of fine gravel and dust is more prominent.
To reduce the wear of the particles on the floor, it is especially important to keep the floor clean. Footpads can be placed at the entrance, preferably with flat-bottomed slippers and indoors. Thin shoe covers still cause some sharp-edged sand to scratch the floor. Pay attention to clean the floor after opening the window. If dust or gravel is found, it should be vacuumed and cleaned immediately.
The ash on the floor should not be treated with a wet rag and a mop. The ash that is wrapped between them can easily cause scratches on the surface of the paint film. Also, be careful not to let the floor touch the open flame or place high-power electric heating directly on the floor. It is also not possible to place high-temperature objects such as kettles and stoves directly.
See you later, Good Luck, friend ;)
