Cypress is a kind of arborous flower. It is generally flowering in spring and can be used for medicinal purposes. It is easier to breed cypress trees and does not require very professional farming knowledge.
Introduction of Cypress
Cypress trees are evergreen trees, which are widely distributed in China. They are from Inner Mongolia and Jilin to the north and Guangdong to the northwest of Guangxi. The artificial cultivation range covers the whole country. It is an excellent landscaping tree species. The height of the tree is generally up to 20 meters. Bark reddish-brown, longitudinally split. Branchlets are flat. Leaves scaly, small. Hermaphroditic, globose, solitary. The cone is nearly oval. Seeds long ovate, wingless. The arborvitae is light, but the seedlings and saplings have certain shade tolerance. It is more resistant to cold and has poor wind resistance. Drought-tolerant, moist, but not flood-resistant. It is resistant to barren and can grow on slightly acidic to slightly alkaline soils. Slow growth. Extremely long life. The wood is soft and hard, delicate, fragrant and resistant to corrosion. It is mostly used in construction, furniture, joinery, etc.; seeds, roots, leaves, and bark can be used as medicine; oil is extracted from seeds for soap, edible or medicinal.
Morphological characteristics of cypress
Evergreen trees. Slow growth, height 15-20 meters. The branches are flat and straight, the needles are generally flat, and the average length is 2-4 mm. It is similar to the shape of the branches and blends into one. Long oval cones, long woody scales, thicker, with a reflexed tip on the back. Seeds are wingless and are 4-6 mm long.

Cypress cultivation technology
Cypress trees are cold and drought-tolerant. It is a common temperate plant. The seeds of cypress can be preserved for about 2 years. It is generally harvested in November, dried and stored to prevent moisture. In the spring, soak seeds in warm water of 50-55 ° C for about 1 hour, and then germination after 2 weeks. Sowing or on-demand, it can also be spread. The nursery should be leveled and watered beforehand. When the topsoil is slightly dry, it will be spotted or watered, and then the water will seep and spread, then cover the soil. It can also be broadcast in autumn, and it will emerge in spring. Smaller seedlings should be selected for planting. Under normal circumstances, the seedlings should not be higher than 1.5 meters. When planting, bury it deeply, water it less, and use a wooden stick to support the main body. After one week, pour water again. After one month, the wooden stick should take off the leaves of the cypress tree first, and then scaly leaves. After the year, all are scaly leaves. Generally, it grows faster in the early childhood and youth stages. After adulthood, the growth rate is moderate and slow, and the old trees grow more slowly.
Reasons for the greening of cypress trees
It is mainly caused by leaf rot (red leaf) disease caused by biotic and abiotic factors and early yellowing disease. The main reasons are as follows:
1. The pathogenic fungus is mainly one species of Alternaria sp. (Alternaria sp), which infects cypress trees and induces leaf blight.
2. Underground pest bites seedling bark is also easy to cause yellow leaves.
3. The yellowing of the leaves caused by a lack of fertilizer or fertilization is unreasonable.
4. The soil water supply is insufficient, can not meet the growth and development needs of cedar trees, resulting in leaves thin or wilting, yellow tip, causing early leaves. Or the drainage is not smooth, the soil accumulates water, causing the roots to anaerobic breath for too long, accumulating too much alcohol, poisoning rotten roots. Or soil compaction, poor ventilation, resulting in yellow leaves.
5. Planted too dense, poor ventilation and light transmission, between the plants competing for fertilizer, water, shade, affecting photosynthesis, respiratory consumption, resulting in yellow leaves, leading to early leaves.
6. Improper management of the field. If the seedlings are damaged, the roots are planted, the animal bites the branches, or the human is wounded, causing yellow leaves.
Use of cypress
Common arborvitae is commonly used as an ornamental plant. Buddhist temples often use these woods to build temples.
