We have made a choice in favor of foam blocks, thanks to the versatility of this building material. After all, it is in foam blocks that all modern characteristics of quality and low cost are connected. As a rule, the cost of building a house of foam blocks is 20-30% lower than the cost of building a brick house.
Foam concrete acts as a soundproofing and thermal insulation material. The large volume and light weight allows you to accelerate the process of erection of walls at times. One foam block is equal to eighteen bricks, but in weight is much easier. If necessary, it can be sawn with a regular hacksaw and screwed in screws, and it will not lose its strength.
Before building a house it is important to choose the right varieties of foam blocks.
Blocks with dimensions of 200x300x600 mm are suitable for load-bearing walls, for internal walls - 100x300x600 mm.
As a rule, a house of foam blocks does not require additional insulation, which will save a significant amount of money.
We calculate the foundation
The foundation for a one-storey house should be reinforced concrete this is the right judgment, but not always. Reinforced concrete foundation is really considered a powerful base for the construction of brick houses, houses made of cinder blocks, gas blocks, etc., but this type of foundation is quite expensive and its laying is time-consuming.
For economical construction of a one-storey house it will be enough to use the pile-and-pile foundation. The given technology has proved to be high reliability, simplicity of a bookmark and economy of means on building.
Before the beginning, it is necessary to clear a site of the earth taken away under building. For this purpose, it is necessary to perform in advance the layout of future buildings on the site and level the area.
After that, it is necessary to mark the columns, taking into account 2 important conditions:
The distance from the post to the post should be less than 2 meters;
They shall be located at all intersections.
Once the markings have been made and all calculations have been made, it is possible to start screwing in the piles. The piles can be reinforced with reinforced concrete pillars. But for this purpose it is necessary to go deep into the ground on distance to 2,5 m.
After the piles are screwed in, they should be filled with reinforced concrete mortar in column form work.
Erection of the box
When building foam block walls, it is important to remember that the smaller the layer of mortar between the rows, the lower the heat loss, so the installation should be carried out on a level.
At the first stage of construction of the box it is necessary to prepare a waterproofing layer. This will require applying a layer of cement and sand mortar and covering it with a roofing felt. The overlap of the roofing felt sheets should not be less than 100 mm on the entire surface of the foundation.
At the second stage, the first cornerstone is laid. Then all the corners are erected at the level of five blocks. The rest of the space between the corners is laid down in subsequent stages.
The inner walls are laid out when the first row is completed. The load-bearing walls must be positioned accurately, relative to the approved design.
A reinforced concrete reinforcement layer should be used to create a monolithic structure of the foam block box. For this purpose, anchor bolts are usually used.
Roof installation
Once the concrete has dried out and gained its strength, it is possible to move on to the roof construction stages.
In the first stage, a base is installed along the perimeter of the load-bearing walls to fix the rafters (roof rafters). This base should be fixed with anchors. Then the rafter system should be assembled. Install the sloping rafters. The rafter legs should be fixed in the base.
After that, the battening stage. This is followed by the construction of the final roofing cake. But the choice of roofing pie materials will directly depend on the choice of roof type.
For slate, metal tile and corrugated sheet does not require any additional layer. These materials can be attached directly to the crate. But for tiles suitable OSB-plates, which floor and fasten over the purlins.
Finishing
Foam concrete has a vapor permeability, so it requires additional protection. Siding, facing stone or plaster can be used as a protective, facing layer.
Thank you very much for your attention.
