Chapter thirteen.

- Thank you for a lovely lunch!

Two twins, Gelya and Vova, stood up from behind the table and said it in a chorus. Traditionally, the children in their family had to thank the adults for the food they had received. The father nodded quite a bit, thus showing that Gelya could go to his room. Vova was to help remove the dirty dishes from the table on that day. In the family of twins, everyone had responsibilities for every day.

Gelya climbed the wooden stairs to the second floor, where she and her brother shared a room. There was quite primitive furniture: two beds, two wardrobes, one large table, and several chairs. The wallpaper was torn off a long time ago, and small holes were formed in it, where spiders were usually hiding. The only thing that was beautiful in the room was the view from the window of a small garden.

The girl ran up to the window, looking into it. Today was such a wonderful weather! Birds sang their beautiful songs to their heart's content, whispering leaves and splashing a brook created the music of nature that Gelya loved to listen to. She called it a song of freedom. After all, the girl had almost everything: a cozy house, a family, love, a room. But there was no freedom! Parents forbade running away from home, explaining that there was a village with evil people nearby.

Listening to the song of freedom, the girl did not notice that her brother had come to the room long ago. He sat down on the edge of the bed, looking at his frivolous sister. For a moment his face was lit up with a sincere smile.

- Do you prefer freedom to your home? - He asked, removing a strand of hair from his eyes.

Gelya shuddered slightly. She was completely forgotten, admiring nature. The girl turned her head towards her brother.

- I can't dream a little bit, can I? - She smiled. - Imagine that we would have escaped to freedom for a short time! Just a little bit!

Vova looked at one of the ripped-off walls. He thought for a moment, assessing the situation.

- Okay,- he decided. - Just give me your word, what's just a little bit!

My sister looked at my brother in bewilderment. Is it really possible? And so that parents did not notice anything? After all, they are always watching the twins!

- Did you come up with an idea? - Gelya asked suspiciously.

- You bet!- his brother nodded. - I'm sure it will work!

Vova immediately left the room. "Despite all his efforts, it is impossible to leave this house without anyone noticing!" - The girl assured herself. She came up to the desk, where there were different sheets of paper. The children received education at home, but there was homework too. But unfortunately, it was already done. Why unfortunately? It was just that there wasn't much interesting in the house, and compared to this dull place, the homework was something interesting. Especially if you do it together with your brother, who always tries to cheer you up.

Gelya sat down at the table and began to repeat the material. As spite of the topic was very easy, which learned in seconds and waiting for your brother has nothing to pass. He promised to somehow help to get to freedom! Finally, get out of this prison cell! That's all the girl dreamed of. Or maybe Vova found a secret way out? Then it explains a lot.

The girl came down to the first floor looking for her mother's eyes. She sat by the fireplace, embroidering something. Gelya ran up to her and showed her a sheet of homework:

- I did it all! Can I still do my writing?

A young woman looked at her daughter. After putting her embroidery on the table, she took Geli's writing with her pale hands. The girl's blue eyes slightly shone with a mischievous flame, reminiscent of her past.

- You and Vova are too busy studying all the rules - the tips of her scarlet lips rose slightly - you know, but most of the children are not like you. They hate school, all these rules... Maybe you should stay in their place for a couple of hours and get lazy.

- I've already tried it,- Gelya sighed. - I do not understand why they do not like school and despise homework?

- They don't have the same life as you do,- Mom explained quietly. - But I'm afraid you'll overwork. You can go play with your brother. By the way, where is he?

- Probably in the garden,- Gelya said.

To be honest, the girl really thought he was in the garden now. It was the only place where you could go out into nature. But every blade of grass there had already been studied a long time ago. And that's why there's nothing interesting there.

The continuation should be...
