Seven seconds

Yui's seven. She listens to her father and doesn't even think about going out of the church until she meets one girl... Hane is also seven, but she lets herself be stubborn and every time she and her family appear in church, this girl almost immediately runs away. Yui is not just curious, she is madly attracted to this girl, but can she disobey her father? No, Komori is too obedient, she doesn't want to upset him. But when she manages to do it only once, but to look into Hannah's eyes, the whole world is literally turned upside down. What was "impossible" becomes "possible," and Yui finds it very difficult to resist this incomprehensible feeling that overflows her from the inside. She doesn't know if this feeling of freedom is true, but she only knows for sure that she wants to go to the sea to see for herself that this bright blue whirlpool with some glimpses of emerald is really similar to the color of the sea. So Yui just follows Hannah without saying a word to her

So Yui just follows Hannah without saying a word to her father, hoping that her father wouldn't notice her absence.

Yui and Hannah have been friends for exactly seven days. For seven days in a row, they run away from the church right to the seashore.

Komori is constantly being reprimanded by her father, but being near Hana is more expensive to her than Seiji's trust, so she doesn't care much.

- How long have you... lived in a church? - asks Hannah suddenly.

- For as long as I can remember, - says Yui, still a little surprised by her friend's question.

***

Friendship has been going on for seven months. Girls can't imagine life without each other, however, Father Komori is still very dissatisfied with this friendship.

- Leaving? - Yui speaks sadly.

Tomorrow must be her birthday, and they have so much planned for that day, but Hannah said it's her last day together, she and her family are going to another city.

- I'm sorry, I really didn't know, - Hana apologizes, lowering her head.

She's really sorry. Because she was lying to her friend with impudence. From the very first day of their fellowship, she knew that she would not be in town long, a month before she left, she knew what day the move was scheduled to take place, and she knew that on her birthday Komori would not come to church as usual, and would certainly not go to the sea with her. But something prevented Hannah from telling Yui about it earlier.

Hana changes her legs, holds a gift for her friend with both hands behind her back, but cannot lift her eyes.

- Then let's celebrate my birthday today! - and at the same time, Yui seems to be too happy to say so.

- But...

- No "but", we're celebrating tonight.

The girls were building sand castles, spraying salty sea water at each other, looking at the sunset. Nothing unusual, they did it all every day, but the feelings were different now.

- Do you want to play a new game? My older brother used to play with his friends, - Hana suggested.

Yui only nods and sits on the sand across from her friend.

- The rules are very simple. A person is given seven seconds to do whatever they want with a player, - Hana explains.

- How is that? - asks Yui, looking at her friend in disbelief.

- Well, you can hug him or give him a crack, - explains Hana, - Brother, for example, gave all his friends the necklaces, - she said, laughing quietly.

The cold wind blows right in the face, and it's very dark around. So much so that you could see the rare greenish glimpses in the calm surface of the sea. And Yui remembers the day she first ran away with Hana. Such an incomprehensible excitement and, at the same time, anticipation of something.

- Since I suggested it, I'll be the first, - says Hana.
