Jin Dalai's introduction
Born on hillsides, grasslands, bushes, etc. It is actually the rhododendron of the rhododendron family, that is, whose original meaning is the long-opening flower.
Jin Dalai is the first flower opened in the field. The Korean people regard Jindal as the messenger of spring, a symbol of tenacity, beauty, good fortune and happiness. She is the national flower of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, and she is also the Yanbian of China. The state flower of the Korean autonomous prefecture, the city flower of Yanji City. Jindal's ecological habits
There are many kinds of rhododendrons, and the habits are different, but most of them are produced in high altitude areas; they are cool and humid, and they are hot and dry. It is required to be rich in humus, loose, moist and acidic soil with a pH between 5.5 and 6.5. Some species and horticultural varieties have strong adaptability, drought tolerance, and thinness, and the soil pH can grow between 7 and 8. However, on soils with poor viscosity or poor permeability, growth is poor.
Rhododendron has certain requirements for light, but it is not resistant to exposure. Summer and autumn should have deciduous trees or shades to cover the sun, and often spray the ground with water. Azaleas are usually in spring and autumn, with spring shoots as the mainstay. The most suitable growth temperature is 15 to 20 degrees Celsius. When the temperature exceeds 30 degrees Celsius or below 5 degrees Celsius, the growth is stagnant.
There is a short dormancy period in winter. After the temperature rises, the flower buds gradually expand. Generally, the open field cultivation blooms from March to May, and the high altitude area blooms from July to August. The north is cultivated in the greenhouse. It can bloom from January to February. Rhododendron is resistant to pruning, and the buds are easily germinated after being stimulated, thereby controlling the tree shape and rejuvenating the tree body. Generally, the pruning is carried out before May, and the new shoots can form flower buds in the same year, and affect the flowering too late. Generally, the new shoots that sprouted before and after the fall can still be lignified. If the new shoots are formed too late, they are susceptible to freezing damage in winter.
The use of Jindal
Ornamental value and bonsai materials
In addition to ornamental, some leaf flowers can be used as medicine or extract aromatic oil, some flowers can be eaten, bark and leaves can be used to make baking glue, and wood can be used as crafts. Alpine rhododendron roots are well developed and are good soil and water conservation plants.
The rhododendron flowers are leafy, colorful, germination strong, resistant to pruning, and unique to the root pile. They are excellent bonsai materials.
History
In 1919, the British collector Fuli's accidentally discovered the "Cuckoo Giant" he had never seen before, on the west slope of Gaoligong Mountain in Yunnan Province. The greedy heart drove him to hire hard work, cross the heart, lifted the ax, and chopped the big tree rhododendron up to 25 meters in diameter, 87 cm in breast diameter and 280 years old, and fished a disc-shaped wood. The specimens went back and are still on display at the British Museum in London. But after 63 years, on February 1981, scientists found the highest and largest azalea in the world. After further investigation by the Tengchong County Forestry Bureau, there are 12 large trees of rhododendron with a diameter of more than 1 meter. The largest one is 25 meters high, with a diameter of 3.07 meters and a tree age of more than 500 years. The inflorescence of the big tree rhododendron is a very beautiful flower cluster, water red, each inflorescence consists of 20 to 24 bell-shaped flowers 6 cm - 8 cm long and 6 cm in diameter, with an inflorescence diameter of 25 cm. This towering tree is full of rhododendrons. The lush crowns cover the sky, and the splendid flowers are like clouds and clouds. It is the pride of Yunnan. It is the pride of the motherland!
