1. The Twilight Zone is the third attempt to bring back one of the most ambitious projects of all time. Let me remind you that the series first appeared on the screens in 1959 and produced a real sensation.
Directed this "madness" of the legendary American television man Rod Serling.
I will not tire you with dithyrambs in his address and list all the merits, I will only say that many of the 156 episodes (5 seasons) Rod wrote himself. "So what," you say. And the fact that half of his innovative ideas later became the ancestors of many cult films and books. Take at least an episode where death came to Earth in the guise of handsome Robert Redford (Ordinary People, Three Days of Condor), and half a century later in the guise of no less attractive Brad Pete (interview with a vampire, Revolver) in the film Meet Joe Black.
But despite the huge popularity of this amazing show, the Twilight Zone was closed in 1964.
The first reload took place in 1985 with 110 episodes; the second in 2002 with 44 episodes. Both attempts were not so stunning and could not repeat the "feat" of the original. However, the Twilight Zone does not allow writers to sleep well. And now, 17 years later, Jordan Peel (Away) will risk sending the viewer back to "dusk". The risk, of course, is noble, and champagne is poured there, but remembering the "restart" of the X Files, it is hard to believe in the success of this "hopeless enterprise". However, let's wish Jordan Saw good luck! So lack quality mysticism in the serial world. And if Saw's desire to "do as best as possible" turns out to be "unexpected" traditional "it turned out as usual"...we have the opportunity to see the original version of The Twilight Zone, which was created by old Rod himself.

2. Warrior - Ta-ta-m-m, rejoice fans of martial arts - the series is based on the original idea of Bruce Lee. According to the beautiful story, which all the tabloids gladly picked up, many years after his father's death, Shannon Lee found the manuscripts of her legendary parent, and among the papers was an underwritten action movie script. In this most unfinished scenario, events unfolded in the 19th century in San Francisco. A young, hot immigrant from China came to America for the "American dream", and got into the epicenter of ruthless wars between gangs for the division of spheres of influence and "tidbits of the pie". All in the spirit of Bruce Lee, don't you think?
Not thinking for long, Shannon found like-minded people and unfinished daddy's masterpiece turned into a ten-part TV action. Among like-minded people, for a moment, not just anyone, but Jonathan Tropper (Banshee), Justin Lin (a real detective) and Brad Kane (Law and Order). Shannon herself modestly assumed the duties of the producer.
Maybe it's good that Bruce Lee was unable to implement this project in the seventies of the last century? Now the technologies are much cooler, special effects and more opportunities. And by the way, according to the trailer, Andrew Koji (American gods, Wrong guys) is very organic in the role of a Chinese immigrant, capable of hands and feet and shouting "Kiya!" to scatter a crowd of huge clumsy men. We can only hope that not all the "juicy moments" of fights, chases, and shootings were included in the commercial (lasting less than two minutes), but most of the time the audience was left "overboard" to the joy of it.
I look forward to waiting for the Warrior!

3. Fosse/Verdon is a biographical mini-series based on Sam Wosson's book "Foss" ("Fosse"), which will tell about the famous American choreographer, dancer, director, screenwriter, and actor Bob Fosse. He has staged cult films for Cabaret and All That Jazz. As you know, "behind every successful man is a great woman," and perhaps Fossey would not have achieved worldwide fame without his wife, partner, and muse Gwen Verdon. She was a talented dancer and creative director, she invented Fossey's unique style and made him a real star.
I love such stories. Two mega-talented creative people can't exist side by side without flaming passions, heated debates, stormy clarifications of relationships and other melodramatic nuances. And judging by the list of creators, I am not the only one "to taste" the biographical history of creative unions. There are such "monsters" of the TV world: director Adam Bernstein (all the hard things), screenwriter Deborah Kahn (Motherland), cameraman Tim Ives (very strange things), producer Brad Carpenter (Underground Empire) ... and looks after all the "one eye" daughter of Bob and Gwen - Nicole Fosse. How do you like the team? So do I about the same thing!
And, finally, I will warm up your interest. For the role of Fossey invited an unrealistically cool Oscar-winning Sam Rockwell (Three billboards on the border, Green Mile), and Gwen will play a charming, talented beauty Michelle Williams (All money in the world, Brokeback Mountain).
Now we can traditionally wish everybody with a calm soul - watch Fossey/Verdon with pleasure.
