1. MotherFatherSon is a drama from the British BBC Drama. To make it easier to describe the story and the beginning of the series, I'll first introduce you to former and current family members without a surname (actually, for eight episodes, their surname was never mentioned). The head of the family is Max. A cool, rich uncle, owns many publications in the world, including the English newspaper The National Report. This edition is run by his son Cadon. Max's ex-wife, Katherine (Kadon's mother) also lives in London. After the divorce, she rarely saw her son (the ex-husband had full custody of her son), and now, many years later, she tries to re-establish a relationship with Cadon. Max's new lawful wife, Sophie, is pregnant. That's the whole Seven, or rather four.
It all started with Max's visit to London. Shortly before the election of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, he flew to England to "participate" in the elections (to form public opinion in favor of one of the candidates) and at the same time to check how his son copes with the "hopes" entrusted to him. Alas, the son of hopes did not justify it; Max, not shy in his words, expressed everything he thinks about the "successes and achievements" of Cadon, and, that evening, his son got trashed, and he had a stroke. And then...
It will be difficult to tell further, look at it. Be patient with two episodes, give the show a chance! Everything is not so easy in this family without a surname, as it seems at first glance.
I'll start with the good. Filmed with great respect for the audience, that is, "on the conscience". Mother FatherSon - dense, intense drama, generously flavored with political, intrigues. Well-prescribed, characters; logical and "clever" storylines (though most of them - a ready-made thesis for a psychiatrist); the writers managed to "subtly hint at the thick circumstances", playing on all human weaknesses and vices. Thanks to this, the final picture does not raise any questions, rather, he was expecting - everyone got what they deserved!
And now to the minuses. I wasn't touched by my family history without a last name at all. In my opinion, there are no bad and good, guilty and innocent in this show, no one causes pity and sympathy. So predictable were their actions. An authoritarian pope with a complex of "God" always gets what he wants. Katherine practically gave up her son after the divorce, and now she acts only in the interests of her son...mm-hmm...very doubtful (and the finale proved it). Caydon...Perhaps, only to him periodically there is a feeling a bit similar to pity.
Shall we sum up? I watched the show with pleasure, but the final credits were sent and my only reaction was: "Yeah, that's what I had to prove! If at the end of the season you do not expect to continue... well, you understand everything).
2. Mrs. Wilson - caring and loving Alison Wilson at lunchtime ran home to feed her beloved wife Alec a delicious and hearty lunch. As she fluttered through the kitchen, gathering for the table, her husband went to the bedroom to take the medicine. Alison shouted at the table, but the house was somehow strangely quiet. She went up to the second floor, and Alec was lying dead on the floor.
Alison pulled herself together and did what she had to do - call a priest and call the funeral home.
In the evening, the doorbell rang. On the doorstep is a strange lady who claims to be... Mrs. Gladys Wilson, the deceased's wife, or rather the deceased's widow. Some nonsense.
Alison decided not to leave everything as it was, but to find out what other secrets her "faithful and faithful" husband was hiding.
I will begin by saying that the series is based on real events. After the sudden death of Alexander Wilson in 1963, his wife Alison tried to learn about the mystery of the life of her husband, who worked for British intelligence.
Honestly, you're looking at all the things that "Sashka's got it all wrong" and you think it's easy to hate, how can you forgive it? And for him, where the lie ended and the truth began, or when you live in a lie for so many years the boundaries are erased?
Beautiful actress Ruth Wilson (Luther) plays his own grandmother. Plays heartfeltly, on the verge of emotional breakdown, with great tenderness and love. How many trials can a woman withstand and not break? This is not understandable to the mind. Alison has not yet had time to realize and accept the sudden death of her beloved man, whom she trusted infinitely, for whom she sacrificed so much, has gone through such difficulties...
And then on you, "get a Nazi grenade", found out that for twenty years he lied to her without remorse. Tough!
It's hard for me to imagine how much mental strength it took Alison to go the long way from hate and denial to "understanding and forgiving.
"Our whole role is just my role.
I lost violently in it.
All our pain is just my pain.
But how much pain. How much. How much..."
Mrs. Wilson is an incredibly touching, loving, painful, frustrating, and at the same time hopeful for a better future story.
I can't appreciate such pictures.
