These will be the delicious ingredients of an already very rich dish that will be served at the 5th edition of Parco Valentino, which will take place in Turin from 19 to 23 June. The event, which once again promises to be a great motor festival able to encapsulate all the colors of passion, was presented yesterday in the Hall of Honour of the Castello del Valentino, by Andra Levy, in the presence of the councillors of the City of Turin Paola Pisano (Innovation and Smart City) and Alberto Sacco (Tourism and Commerce), and the Vice Rector of the Polytechnic of Turin, Juan Carlos De Martin, delegate for Culture and Communication.
"At the center of the attention of Parco Valentino that confirms itself as the reference event for the Italian automotive and transport system - said Levy - will be the themes of integrated mobility of the future, with the demo of autonomous driving and the Focus electric cars.
It will, in fact, be a self-driving car protagonist of the opening ceremony of the Show, which looks to the mobility of the future, a national preview of a project of the City of Turin, which is working on remote driving systems with 5G technology, thus confirming its DNA made of innovation and technological research.
But the car that drives itself will only be the icing on the cake of a calendar full of events, static and dynamic that will involve the whole city for 5 days at a party dedicated to the car that will see the presence of more than 40 brands exhibitors.
The event will start on the evening of Wednesday, June 19 with the President Parade, the most glamorous event of the day that will see representatives of car manufacturers and coachbuilders get aboard the most representative cars of their brand and parade in the exclusive circuit specially created in the streets of the city center, which will be inaugurated by Ferrari Formula 1 Michele Alboreto.
From the early hours of the morning will be exhibited in the courtyard of the Castello del Valentino, in addition to the cars of the President Parade, the cars of international collectors invited to the event.
Parco Valentino will provide an opportunity to celebrate some birthdays. Starting with the 110th anniversary of Bugatti, which will bring to Turin the Bugatti Chiron and Veyron from all over the world. Citroën, however, will blow out 100 candles, celebrating Saturday, June 22 with a gathering of the 100 most beautiful and representative cars of the brand. The epilogue, as usual, will be Sunday, June 23 with the Grand Prix Parco Valentino, the dynamic flagship event of Parco Valentino, organized together with the Automobile Club Torino. The collectors will leave from Piazza Vittorio Veneto to face a 40 km route that will cross Via Roma and Piazza San Carlo and will take them, along the hairpin bends of the Turin hill, to the Reggia di Venaria.
