Anyone who travels first by macaque or sunrise, then in the Urals or Dnieper, sooner or later will want to ride a motorcycle car. And depending on the amount the potential patient has, he gets a horse. Let's consider a classic example - transplanting from Java or Opposite to a middle-class motorcycle made in Japan or the United States.
As a rule, it is the device approximately in the middle of 80th years, working volume from 500 to 750 cubic centimeters, a highwayman (it is the most acceptable at the price), quite good health and appearance. What tricks await the happy owner, who has never ridden anything before, except for the creations of the Soviet design thought of the 60s of the twentieth century?
The first and most pleasant surprise is absolutely extraordinary, straightforwardly cosmic power and fantastic flexibility of the engine. Of course, according to our notions, because according to foreign notions there can be no other way.
The engine responds obediently to the slightest turn of the gas knob, and the engine speed is growing so rapidly that sometimes it is just frightening. The habit to "podgayat" the engine at traffic lights and at a touch from a place should mark at once as ancient and unnecessary atavism because the engine starts to pull confidently already from three thousand revolutions that is quite enough for confident start from a place, and idle speed that is characteristic, the engine keeps always. As soon as we touched the touchdown, let's remember the clutch. Even if the clutch is driven by a rope, it is strikingly light and clear; hydraulic - even more pleasant and easier. You don't have to think, "Grab, don't grab, don't grab. It always does. Softly and smoothly. The clutch is predictable by 100%, but together with a powerful engine it is still necessary to get used to it.
And so, having moved and driven some distance, we decide to stop. The leg stretches to the brake pedal, but - stop! It is necessary to forget once and for all the harmful habit developed by the Soviet technique - to brake only with the rear brake. On foreign cars to brake only with both brakes at once. When braking only with the rear brake, the motorcycle can be easily put on its side, so that until you figure it out, it will be too late. The fact is that foreign cars have a completely different axle weighting, and the front brake is sometimes much more effective than the rear, which, in turn, although one, but the definition of brakes better and sharper than the drum with the same application of force to the brake pedal. It is not difficult to get used to braking as a human being, with two brakes, and unlike the Soviet ones, the foreign brand does not lose its stability in such a braking scheme. When braking only at the front of the ass, having some inertia, can begin to overtake before, which in practice is called an uncontrolled skid.
Manageability... Even a little ride on a normal motorcycle, it begins to seem that it is capable of anything. It hides a hidden danger - you can just overestimate the capabilities of the bike, or on the contrary, to overestimate their own. As a rule, a normal modern motorcycle is much stronger than its owner, and it needs to get used to it. It often takes more than one season of active riding. Nevertheless, you can enjoy how confidently and with what a huge inclination the bike passes turns, how to keep the road and how to brake. You can draw as many graphs as you like, write equations with the contact area, the center of gravity, and prove that the Soviet motorcycles and foreign cars theoretically have the same controllability - this is not the case. Any foreign car is controlled by an order, and even how much cooler it is than a Soviet motorcycle wearing the most diverse rubber. It is promoted by a lot of reasons, the main of which is good quality of assembly, competent, well thought out and calculated design, high-quality components, and most importantly - the love of those people who produce these bikes to their children. They also ride these bikes themselves and constantly improve this technique, ranging from useful trifles to the whole construction.
Do not forget about the rubber. You will have to buy a new one every season, or even more often, because the rubber for foreign cars, as a rule, is much softer than the Soviet one, on which your parents could ride and then pass to you as an inheritance, because it still has some remnants of the drawing. Using a severe motorcycle, you will still try to use it at full speed, and this coil on a bald rubber is very unsafe.
