How much for what?
In official motoservices, it is obligatory to document the relationship with the client. In written form, in two copies (one you receive) is drawn up a contract or other document (say, an order for a dress). If repair is planned without your presence, together with the receiver fixed completeness and cost of the motorcycle. The service is obliged to accept full material responsibility for the equipment entrusted to it. Make sure that the wording of services in the document was clear. For example, the phrase "maintenance of the power supply system" does not mean anything - everything should be listed in detail: disassembly, cleaning, adjustment of the carburetor, etc. The contract also includes a list of required spare parts, consumables, quantity and price, cost of works, procedure of their payment and term of repair completion. And warranty obligations for the performed works are clearly stated. Note that the motorcycle service is inadmissible unauthorized inclusion in the list of repair works that is not agreed by the parties. If it is found out such necessity, repairers are obliged to inform you and to receive the consent on the further actions.
Services that are carried out in your presence, say, replacement of a light bulb or spark plugs do not require a detailed document - enough if an employee of the company will provide a receipt or something similar.
Keep the contract or other document received after the repair is completed. If the mechanics made a mistake, only the document guarantees free of charge correction of the marriage. In case of more severe consequences (God forbid, an accident) - payment of compensation for the damage caused.
On trust
Now about the peculiarities of communication with the masters-participants. Their advantage over "officers" is more liberal prices. But the quality of repair can seriously lose to the company. Therefore, "dig" will have to be more deeply, especially since it is not characteristic of them to deal with the drafting of contracts - the relationship between the client and the master are built on full confidence. I advise you to make sure that it is not one-sided. At the first visit, besides an estimation of a condition of a workshop, be sure to find possibility to hang out among experienced visitors - ask, how long they use services of repairers, whether there were (if "yes", whether often) claims. Usually, the work is completed in a timely manner or it is rather an exception. Find out, whether masters use at repair of details be-u. If so, the service is at risk. Especially if you are tilted to use the baeware by a master. After all, the durability of the "groomed" part is unpredictable. So you won't be able to talk about the warranty after the breakage - in response you will hear: you agreed to it yourself ... If you are lucky, you will witness that the spare part will be brought by the client himself (the new one was not affordable) and tearfully asks you to use it. Assess whether the master is protesting or not. Agreed easily - the type of thinking mechanic is clear. Frankly warns of bad consequences - you are not in front of a grabber.
Here's what else. The participants do not have qualification certificates, at least we have never met such certificates. But even without this, you can fairly reliably assess the professionalism of the repairman. Ask visitors what the master himself rides, will be an opportunity - look at his technique. "Horseless" repairmen in the world of bike mechanics - people are random. Is it worth to trust the property and purse of such a person? Rides a motorcycle? Even if they are not prestigious "Izh" or "Ural", it is important that they are in the most perfect (emphasize!) condition. Turns out that the device is shattered - the repairer is a slacker, he and your equipment will turn into something similar ... Of course, it is not always possible to "pump" a private citizen "in full program", so we recommend that you apply to them for the first time "to try" only for a small service, after you decide whether to develop the relationship.
We strongly advise not to trust the device to those masters who start to entice documents on a motorcycle (in case repair work is long). A common excuse - say, often the police are looking for stolen equipment. Like a weighty argument? Rather, it is an excuse. How many times have such cunning guys arranged dashing rides on repaired equipment? It was even like this: the owner behind the gate - a mechanic saddles his crew and takes off on his own business. And then, everything can end in aggravation of a malfunction is your additional expenses, at times considerable. In a word, remember: the executor of works has no right to demand from the customer documents (its own and on technics). Neither "official", nor a private citizen.
This is not all...
The relationship between you and the technical service company formally regulates two documents. The first one is "Rules of rendering services (performance of works) on maintenance and repair of motor vehicles", approved by the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation from April 11, 2001 № 290. They set out the rights of the customer and the duties of the contractor. The second is the law "On Protection of Consumer Rights" - it will help when it is found that the work is done poorly. It is useful to get acquainted with both documents. But they do not reflect all the subtleties of choosing a reliable pair.
