1. Striking Out is the success story of Tara Rafferty, a novice lawyer, or how to leave a large law firm, organize your own practice and succeed. However, in the beginning, Tara did not plan to quit her job in order to get down to "all the hard things". On the contrary, her career at a prestigious law firm was rapidly gaining momentum, she was going to marry for a great deal of love, and the future promised only "the sky in diamonds" and many, many "trucks with oranges". One mistake turned a young woman's life upside down. Tara decided to surprise her fiancé and came home early from the hen party (note, without a prior call (!)). However, the surprise was waiting for her. Hotly beloved narrow-minded decided to say goodbye to the bachelor's life in his own way and finally charming colleague at work. Tara caught him in the act of not demanding it. As a normal woman, she freaked out, quit her job (ah, yes, forgot to mention one tiny detail: a large law firm belongs to the groom's father, and the groom works in the same firm), she was sheltered by the owner of the coffee shop, allocating a close closet and, in order not to abandon their customers, Tara began to do business on her own). Unfortunately, the city was not so big - Tara will have to face her ex-fiancé and ex-secre-man in the courtroom more than once.

Remember how Katerina in the movie Moscow does not believe the tears met with Rodion after many years in the park and her words: "And now ... Now I think if I was not burned then so badly, nothing would have happened to me. I think it's a good thing you didn't marry me. So and in the TV series, Tara is lucky that without five minutes-male proved himself before the wedding and their way apart. If her life had been arranged otherwise, maybe she would never have known how great a lawyer she was. I agree it is not easy to start a new life in such conditions. The pressure of parents on both sides (the wedding has already been paid for and no one will return the money), a deep emotional bleeding wound (betrayal of a loved one), uncertainty about the future (today there are clients, and tomorrow they may not be there), periodically Tara has to face in the courtroom with his ex-fiancé, or with his charming "colleague at work". But the courageous Tara is not stuck in a corner, "does not sprinkle her head with ash", indulging in bitter sobbing and reveling in self-pity. No, Tara is a fighter, she's a fighter...and only at night she lets herself cry in her girlfriend's pillow. Amy Huberman (Clinic) is unspeakably good in the role of Tara. On the screen she suffers, struggles, overcomes, sometimes surrenders, but more often wins. Cool turned out to be a heroine, however, as well as the series itself.
The series has only one major drawback - few series. Only 10 episodes in two seasons. Well, that's why so? As soon as everything is good, the creators modestly give out for the "mountain" short seasons? The second season ended in the most interesting place. I hope that the third creators will not be delayed for long, and soon we will see the continuation.
P.S. The sound of the series is unusually vile. Auntie who sounds Tara gloomy-dark! In an attempt to adapt to the voice of Amy Huberman, the lady obviously overdid it, her squeaky falsetto resembles the sound of "iron on the glass". Can you imagine this nightmare? Look in the original or with subtitles. The voice kills the series away.

From the very first moment, young ASAs and public defenders unwittingly compete with each other in an attempt to win their place in the sun. And how many times do they still have to fight in court, accusing or defending the defendants? Ambition, ambition, ambition, overestimated sense of self-importance, honor, hiding are often struggling in the soul of inexperienced lawyers with the awareness of complete helplessness, fear of failing the case, the desire to hide from all their true feelings, inability to resist a stronger opponent. And who said that it would be easy? The court is not the place for weaklings. Working for the sake of people every day - will only be able to devote his profession of lawyer. Not all new lawyers will be able to cope with the pressure and not break down, but he who will withstand the prize - work in one of the most prestigious courts in America. The stakes are high, there is something to fight for.
You can feel the hand of Paul William Davis, one of the creators of the series Scandal about Olivia Pope. That's why the sea of pathetic, unnecessary tinsel, high-caliber dialogues, motivating slogans, and patriotic appeals do not surprise. It turned out to be a very simple series without "zest and charm".
For the sake of people, you can look once, the good news is that the series was filmed very kindly. I went to look for someone in the directors to name the characters, and there are 13 of them (thirteen!)! Series in season 10, the main characters 6, and directors ... Nevertheless, they are good, I tell them all at once.
