part 1.

Everywhere And Anywhere.

The next morning, as soon as the first rays of sunshine began to shine, the whole village gathered on the "central square", the place where all sorts of meetings and ritual events were held. The chief was standing in front of him and the elders of the tribe were behind him. To the battle of drums, the Overwhelmed Wisdom began to cast spells, accompanied by dancing and throat singing of the male part of the tribe. When the chief finished his recitative, his lady came up to Jake and held out a cup of drink. Luni took a few sips...

As soon as Luni had tasted an unknown drink, he immediately began to feel dizzy and lose his orientation in space. But after a while, these feelings were overwhelmed by a new state of mind that resembled a dream. Only if the usual sleep lasts for a few hours did it overcome Jake for a few days. He did not sleep in the truest sense of the word - he knew that he had never even rested during the whole time. On the contrary, he was more active than ever. During these days, he moved his mind in space and talked to both his friends and strangers. But the most interesting thing is that at the same time he was seen in the very places he pointed out. Thus, on August 13, 1993, at exactly two o'clock in the afternoon, Luni's mother noticed her son voting on the road not far from his native city of Melbourne. Should we describe the astonishment that has engulfed the woman? After all, she knew for a fact that her son is now in South America on publishing business.

On the same day, but two hours later, Jake was watched by colleagues at the New York Post office. He then claimed, as if thunder had come out of the blue, to the editorial office and began to delightfully talk about his extraordinary adventures in Peru. But that's not all. British Airways flight attendant Gordon Smile, who accompanied the Istanbul-London flight, proved that the passenger, Jake Mooney, an Australian citizen, was on the plane on August 17, 1993.

What was it? A coincidence? Mass hypnosis? Or was it the real event that happened to the same person under the influence of an Indian potion?

Home Way.

That's not what we know for sure. After the initiation ceremony, Jake did not marry the daughter of the tribe leader as if he had forgotten about the wedding. The wise Indians, aware of the unpredictable effects of decoction, took his decision for granted. A few months later, Luni informed the chief of his desire to leave the tribe and return to Australia. He managed to obtain permission from the tribal council, but on the condition that he would return to the village and marry the chief's daughter within a year at the latest. Jake had given his word, but in his heartfelt that he would never come back here again.

In the time that Luni spent among the tribe, he managed to find the recipe for a sacred drink. He had collected all the ingredients he needed to prepare it and now dreamt of only one thing: to experience it again.

The way back seemed like an easy walk to the newspaper: he easily found a winding path to the city. This was another "side" property of the potion: to find the right way even in unfamiliar terrain.

Inglorious End.

In Australia, Loni didn't put it off for a long time. The same evening he locked himself in his office and started making magic potions. Two weeks later, the drink was ready. Jake got in the car and drove to the outskirts of town to enjoy a new portion of the extraordinary experience alone.

In solitude, the desperate experimenter gathered with spirit and drank another warm potion with one sip...

In the evening of the same day, the body of a young man was discovered on the outskirts of Melbourne, without any signs of violent death. A medical examination had found that death had occurred as a result of a brain hemorrhage. There were no traces of any drugs, drugs or poisonous substances in James Mooney's blood - and that was him -...

That's how this story ended. Inglorious and ridiculous. Although, remembering a character named Herostratus and this story left its mark...
