Professional motivation, which ensures the success of education in the university, as well as the success of professional self-determination after its completion, can be formed in the information campaigns of the institution, through the application of certain conditions and means of communicating information to students. Personally, a significant meaningful motive can be formed in teenagers (young men) and this process is realized in the sequence of its characteristics formation. First, the educational and cognitive motive starts to take effect, then it becomes dominant and becomes independent, and only after it is realized, i.e. the first condition is the organization and formation of the educational activity itself. At the same time, the effectiveness of motivation itself is better formed when directed to the ways than to the "result" of the activity. At the same time, it manifests itself in different ways for different age groups depending on both the nature of the learning situation and the teacher's strict control.

Thus, educational and professional motivation, representing a special type of motivation, is characterized by a complex structure, one of the forms of which is the structure of internal (process and result) and external (reward, avoidance) motivation. Such characteristics of educational motivation as its stability, connection with the level of intellectual development and character of educational activity are essential.

For the purposes of STE students' learning activities, professional motivation is understood as a set of factors and processes that, when reflected in the consciousness, encourage and guide an individual to study future professional activities. Professional motivation acts as an internal driving factor in the development of professionalism and personality, as only on the basis of its high level of formation, the effective development of professional education and personal culture is possible.

Thus under motives of professional activity understanding of subjects of actual needs of the person, satisfied by means of performance of educational tasks and inducing him to study the future professional activity is understood.
If a student understands what kind of profession he or she has chosen and considers it worthy and significant for the society, it certainly affects the way his or her education is formed. Building a positive attitude towards the profession is an important factor in improving the academic performance of students. But a positive attitude in itself cannot be essential if it is not supported by a competent understanding of the profession (including the role of individual disciplines) and is poorly linked to the ways of mastering it.

Proper identification of professional interests and aptitudes is an important prognostic factor for future professional satisfaction. The reason for inadequate choice of profession may be both external (social) factors related to the impossibility to make a professional choice of interests and internal (psychological) factors related to the lack of awareness of their professional aptitudes or inadequate understanding of the content of future professional activities.

Motivation is an important component of regulation of any human activity. It has been studied and engaged in by various scientists from ancient times to the present day. Different kinds of activities become important in different periods of human life. For the student it is necessary to carry out educational activities as a basis for further successful functioning in the society; accordingly, it is necessary to develop motivation for learning.

The motivational sphere of a person is a set of needs, motives and goals, which is formed and developed throughout his life. A part of the motivational sphere, which is formed at a certain stage of a person's life, is called motivation. Motivation of a first-grader, motivation of a schoolboy, motivation of a student, motivation of a working person make up only a part of the motivational sphere - the one that is formed at a certain stage of his life and is connected with certain goals of his life activity.
