In these cases, it is best to comb your hair directly in the shower, when it is wet and with the help of an untangling wrap, conditioner or a specific cream. Simply apply the product after shampooing, wait for it to take effect for a few minutes and then start brushing your hair. This way the hair will be softer and untangling the knots when the hair is wet is much easier.

HOW TO PROTECT YOUR HAIR AT SEA

Now to the difficult relationship between hair and sea. If it is true that in summer the hair becomes more beautiful, especially at sea which has the magical power to define the curls and the waviest cuts, it is also true that salt, sand, and seawater can ruin the hair, making it more stale and dehydrated. What to do then?

The first thing to do when you are at the sea is to stock up on moisturizing shampoo, able to nourish your hair thoroughly after many hours spent in the sun and in the seawater. The frizzy effect, especially for those with long hair, is a very frequent situation at sea.

To combat it just a nourishing oil, such as linseed oil or Argan oil, to be applied after normal washing, but also directly on the beach or during the day after brushing the hair.

HOW TO PROTECT YOUR HAIR IN WINTER

Even cold, wind and humidity can become enemies of the hair if we do not take care of it properly; just as in summer sun and salt tend to ruin the hair, even in winter the harsh temperatures do their part.

Also, in this case, are the small daily gestures that help preserve the hair. The hat, for example, is not only an aesthetic accessory but also a practical aid that protects the hair from rain, smog, cold and wind.

In winter, moreover, the use of the hairdryer is practically a must, unlike in summer when the high temperatures allow you to avoid drying your hair. High temperatures, however, can damage the hair and that is why it is important to dose the intensity of the hairdryer in the best possible way; the air to dry the hair must be warm and it would be better to alternate a jet of hot air with a jet of cold air.

High temperatures do not only affect the hairdryer. The straightener for smoothing the hair, for example, with its high temperature helps to ruin it with the passage of time, especially if it is used with some consistency every week. In fact, the straightener not only tends to ruin the tips, which as we said earlier are the most delicate part of the hair and to be protected but also tends to literally burn the hair that every week would be put to the test by the high temperatures of the straightener. Better to limit the use of this tool and, if you are a fan of straight hair, try to iron your hair with the traditional method: brush and hairdryer.

HOW TO PROTECT YOUR HAIR WITH THE POWER SUPPLY

Hair, as it happens with nails, are important sentries that make us understand if something in our body is not working properly. Hair, in short, sends us precise signals to communicate the state of our health. For example, the state of your hair can help us to understand if your hair is dehydrated or not; if your hair looks particularly dry during a certain period, the cause could be a lack of water during the day.

We, on the other hand, are what we eat and this is also evident when we look at our hair. Not only is shine synonymous with the well-being of the hair, but also its texture and fragility. If the hair is brittle, broken or weak, this means that perhaps our diet is incorrect and we need to correct even the simplest eating habits.

Fruits and vegetables are precious allies for the well-being of our hair and this concerns in particular foods that contain vitamin C and vitamin E; carrots, apricots, green leafy vegetables, legumes, and oranges, which make them stronger and healthier.

Sometimes you may see that your hair is getting thinner; this could mean that your body is suffering from an iron deficiency and to be sure of this condition is enough to go for a blood test. In addition to this, especially if the condition is confirmed, it is useful to integrate into your diet foods that contain a lot of iron, such as spinach, broccoli, pumpkin seeds, legumes, and quinoa.
