How to adjust the beard by yourself staff. Part 2

Softening the skin The skin must always be softened. This applies not only to the beard trimmer but also to the classic shearing operations, which involve the use of razor blade and shaving foam. If you use a water-resistant beard trimmer, you can also leave your face skin moist, making your beard easier to cut and adjust. This type of beard trimmer generally costs more, as does the beard trimmer, which you can use directly in the shower. THE TECHNIQUE TO ADJUST THE BEARD To adjust the beard in the best possible way, the first thing to do is to learn to follow the direction of the cut. If you have a thick beard, start from top to bottom, always following the direction of the hair. Never the other way around, unless you have a sparse beard with few hairs: in this case, you can also proceed in counter-hair. Softening the skin

The skin must always be softened.

THE TECHNIQUE TO ADJUST THE BEARD

To adjust the beard in the best possible way, the first thing to do is to learn to follow the direction of the cut. If you have a thick beard, start from top to bottom, always following the direction of the hair. Never the other way around, unless you have a sparse beard with few hairs: in this case, you can also proceed in counter-hair.

As for the finishing, which you can easily put into practice using the special trimmer, it is good to start from the outer part of the beard, usually thinner, to get to the inner part, which tends to be thicker. In this way, the result will be homogeneous and you will not find yourself having the design of the beard unnecessarily altered.

When you have finished cutting, you should rinse your face thoroughly with cold water. The water must be cold and not hot because the cold helps the immediate closure of the pores that, if closed again, are protected from bacteria and infections.

When the skin is dry, it is always advisable to apply a good aftershave, insisting especially in places where it has been cut a little deeper. For those who have very delicate skin and are subject to redness and dermatitis, it is advisable to use a natural product that is free of preservatives and chemical agents, but not for this reason without a disinfectant and moisturizing function.

If during the cut you caused a cut or an abrasion, you must immediately disinfect the area. All you need is a simple cotton ball, a little alcohol, or even just a common disinfectant, and slight padding on the skin. In general, this happens when you press the beard trimmer too hard on the skin, or when you use it with an incorrect inclination.

IF THE BEARD IS TOO LONG

What happens if the beard is too long? As we said before, in this case, it is better to shorten the beard with a scissor: the shorter the hair, the better the beard trimmer will work.

If you then decide, it is precisely the case to say so, to give us a cut and try to shorten the beard considerably compared to how you usually wear it, you must aim at a larger size of the beard trimmer, at least the intermediate one, and follow the result obtained using the same way the trimmer.

In general, as soon as the beard reaches a length of at least 3 mm, the intervention of the beard trimmer is necessary for those who want an orderly and clean appearance. But be careful, it is always good to proceed slowly and gradually, to avoid unpleasant inconveniences. Here are some tips:

Understanding where to adjust your beard

Just look in the mirror, with your shoulders and head straight, and draw an imaginary line below your chin and according to the result you want to achieve. All hairs that are placed below the imaginary line should be removed for a clean and tidy appearance.

Define the line proportionately

But how do you define this line? Certainly not by chance, to avoid having an asymmetrical cut and a decidedly uninspiring appearance. To understand where to ideally draw the line, it is necessary to bend the head backward and place a finger on Adam's apple: that, for all, is the point that separates the beard from the neck in which the line of separation is ideally drawn.

We always start from the center

If you were asking yourself this question, here's the answer: you always start from the center. Gently lay down the bear leader and proceed downwards. Start, on the one hand, always going from the center outwards, and check from time to time to stay below the contour of the face.

Once you have returned to the center again, proceed from the other side, always going outwards. And do not round off the neckline, which should preferably be curved upwards.

Square or round beard?

Depending on the cut you prefer, you can choose to leave the corners of your beard around or make them more angular. In any case, the corners are always defined by a vertical line below the earlobes.
