A child aged 3 to 6 months
When the baby turns 3 months old, most parents are relieved: a certain daily routine is established, some movements of the child can be used to guess what they want, usually at this age, children sleep well at night for 6-8 hours. At the same time, there is an intensive nervous and psychological development of children: auditory and visual perception is differentiated, motor activity is improved, the child starts to actively hum and babble.
In the fourth month, the child lifts his or her head from the back. Lying on the stomach, the child lifts up, leaning on his elbows and forearms. With the support of the armpit, he leans well on the legs. Moving muscles are noticeably improved. The child tries to turn from back to side, change the position of the body, trying to reach the toy. If a child is busy with toys for a long time during the waking period, feels them, holds the object in his hand, it can be considered a good indicator of his development. Striving to get a noticed toy or object, the child turns on his side, from back to stomach, tries to crawl to the toy, that is, uses new movements.
A 3-4 month old child looks at his or her hands while lying on his or her back and enjoys studying them by sticking them in his or her mouth.
At the age of 5 months, the baby discovers a new object for sucking - his legs. Having taken off his toe and stuck the leg in his mouth, he laughs with pleasure.
Many children can sit on their own by the time they are six months old, and all the kids can sit with support. And now they look at the world the same way as adults, looking around and studying all the objects and people in sight.
Mental development is progressing rapidly. By the time the child is five months old, he or she recognizes his or her mother, father, sister or brother, and all those close to him or her who care for him or her more or less regularly. The child reacts to the tone of speech. Without understanding the words, he understands the main meaning of the appeal to him by intonation. Long as the melody is humming. He listens to melodic music with pleasure, he likes it if his mother reads him children's poems. He tries to express his attitude to the environment in different shades of babbling.
Approximately at 5-6 months many children start crawling. At this time, it is useful to fence off a safe place in the room and give the child full freedom of action. He will gladly crawl into every corner, will feel every object (it is necessary to take care of the safety of the baby in advance - to remove everything that can break, fall on him, protect the electrical outlets, do not give him small items and toys that can break down).
At 5-6 months of age, new household items appear in the baby's life: a mug and a spoon, with the help of which the baby is fed. From the same age it is possible to instill in the baby the skills of tidiness - to wash and change clothes after feeding, to wipe the mouth with a napkin, if he got dirty.
By the time they are six months old, many children begin to say certain syllables (pa-pa, ba-ba, mama, yes-yes, dai, etc.), repeating them to adults. Therefore, everyone who cares for a child needs to talk to him or her at all times and say the words clearly.
The age of 5-6 months is the age of emotional communication. The more love and tenderness you give to your child, the more return awaits you in the future. Don't be afraid to talk to your child about how you love him, caress him, communicate with him - and you will be rewarded with a happy smile on the lovely lips of a child.
The whole world in your mouth
A little chew on the chair leg, chew the phone wire, lick toys lying on the floor, lazily bite a passing dog, diligently stick in your mouth all the small songs found on the floor, and to top it all off, give up just cooked soup - what could be better for the curious kid and more terrible for his caring mother?
A man is a unique creature. All over the animal world, according to the laws of nature, within half an hour of birth the calf must barely stand on its feet and be ready to move - so the question of survival is solved. The newborn man is also concerned to support his separate existence in the world where he suddenly found himself. Only to survive he needs something else: firstly, the presence of his mother, and secondly, the ability to suck and inform the world of his troubles, which, as you know, makes the baby one and the same "tool", the mouth.
The child starts to use this tool actively in the womb of the mother. Proof of this - the results of ultrasound examination, which is conducted in the second trimester. In the pictures or monitor you can see how the child swallows and spits out the amniotic fluid (which "swims" for all nine months), and sometimes sucks his thumb.
Immediately after birth, the baby begins to breathe independently, he has a voice, and thus the ability to shout, cry. In addition, the baby instinctively tries to catch the mother's breast with her lips, trying to actively suck milk, her fingers, pacifier. All this means that the child is ready to communicate with his mother.
