Animals of the world

Yegg is a small, amusing resident of mountainous places, forests and fields. The head and neck of the hedgehog are covered with hard brownish-white fur, but the main "dress" is a barbed coat of needles with yellowish tips. On the body of the hedgehog between sharp, two-meter needles, growing beams, looks hard fur. There are large longitudinal furrows on each of the needles growing at almost right angles on the 22 – 24 of the skin. The needles are slightly curved in the neck at the base, so that when the ear falls from any height to its needles, they do not puncture its skin or injure the animal. How wonderful everything is thought out!
Having sensed the danger, the enemy resorts to defensive maneuver - turns into a tangle. A powerful muscle, like a cord pulled into a soft leather bag, pulls the barbed coat of the hedgehog from the sides, front and rear. So the barbed "shield" closes the head, tail, legs and belly of the beast, which can remain in this defensive position for quite some

Usually when the evening twilight comes, the yoke is not averse to something to back up. Its menu, apart from insects and worms, includes mice, frogs, rats and lizards, and sometimes nuts and berries. Hedgehogs have a thin hearing, as well as a smell, which can be judged by his sharp face and wet nose. In nature, hedgehogs have quite few enemies, except foxes and badgers. With his paws with powerful claws, the badger can easily deploy the hedgehog without fear of his barbs Fox, on the contrary, cannot compete with the hedgehog needles, but can slide the hedgehog into the water, where he will either turn or sink. Yes, however, is a good swimmer, so he has a chance not to get into the paws of a red plow, but to reach the shore and hide among stones or in some nor on the shore. If the hedgehog manages to avoid all these dangerous encounters with people and animals, it can live for years 6 and grow up to 25 centimeters long. The marriage period at hedgehogs comes in May – July, at the end of this period the hedgehog brings offspring a second time. Pregnancy lasts 4 to 6 weeks, the withdrawal usually consists of 3 or 4 babies, each weighing less than 30 grams. Heights are born blind and deaf, so within two weeks of birth they are completely defenseless. Their soft wool is gradually replaced by needles, and they can already roll into a tangle well enough. Before the baby learns to do it, in case of danger, he jumps sharply, making a hissing. .

Lynxes
The lynx once lived in forests and mountain areas throughout the Northern Hemisphere, but today they live only in parts of the world. Some lynx are about six times larger than a big pet cat. In height, they reach the middle of an adult 's hip. The male North American lynx weighs 10 to 15 kilograms and the female weighs 5 to 10 kilograms. One of the characteristic features of lynx that distinguish it from other cats is wide tanks. The Morley - wider and shorter than most cats - creates a deceptive impression of shyness and meekness. In winter, the wool of the North American lynx is very thick and soft, approximately 10 centimeters long. Usually the North American lynx is light gray, with darker spots on the more. The Euro-Asian lynx may have a light brown color with dark brown spots. The lynx has a peculiar tail: about 10 centimeters long, as if chopped, with a black tip. The ears are large, triangular shaped, at the ends with black brushes. The ears of lynx, like antennas, can capture the shorts released by small animals.
The lynx usually sneaks unnoticed and makes marked jumps, which allows this lone hunter not to miss prey. Wide paws with cushions and inwardly retractable claws resemble snowmobiles. Thanks to this, the lynx easily walks on the loam. Very long, strong hind legs allow this animal to instantly break out of place and make jumps of 2 to 3 meters long. In flight, the lynx can virtuously bend and change the direction of the jump. Usually the chase doesn't 't last long. Lynx retreats if she fails to catch prey by five jumps. Often she has to hunt for 3 to 10 hare before she catches one. You have to pay for failure with an empty stomach. Having nailed the prey, the lynx falls into the victim 's throat with its small but powerful jaws with 28 teeth, of which 4 fangs are sharp like daggers.
