How did I retain my rights

Some time ago, I had an amazing case that I wanted to tell you about. Driving my little girl, I took the usual route. I try to avoid large, noisy avenues and highways, preferring small streets. And most of the time, I'm lucky, I go around all the big traffic jams.

That day I was driving down such a small street, on the left side, full of parked cars, and on the right, through a double continuous, opposite lane. The speed was low about 50 km/h, there were a lot of lying policemen, a school and kindergarten nearby, you don't drive at all.

There was a bus at the bus stop, I saw it and continued my journey in peace. Suddenly, the bus began to leave when I had nothing left before it. But he probably noticed me because he got up almost immediately, blocking my way. It was either to go to the bus ram with the passengers or to turn the wheel sharply and drive to the oncoming lane, where there was no one at the time. Of course, I chose the second option, going around the bus on the left side. Only when I got back to my lane did I see a striped stick and hear a whistle. Lucky for me, I couldn't say anything. I stopped and got out, we talked a lot, but, about any bus, the traffic police did not even want to listen. In the end, I said goodbye to my rights and got a temporary ID in return.

Not counting on the positive outcome of the case, I decided to defend the option of bypassing the obstacle knowing very well that my chances are almost zero. The traffic police had photos, and I didn't even have a video recorder at the time. But I went to trial, two and a half weeks later. The judge listened to my version and adjourned the hearing because the inspectors did not show up. But, and the second hearing, representatives of the traffic police did not honor their visit, sluggishly listened to me for the second time, the judge again postponed the hearing. The third hearing was scheduled only ten days earlier, the notorious statute of limitations of three months. I was upset because I understood that I was about to have my rights, and I couldn't believe that the inspectors wouldn't come for the third time. But, oh, a miracle, they were gone for the third time again.

The judge made a decision according to my version of events, because he couldn't listen to the other version. He imposed a fine of 1500 rubles and I was given an order to return my rights. After paying the ticket, I went victoriously to pick up my precious ID card. The police officer, literally, dumped a bunch of rights in front of me and said, Look for it. I found it, squeezed the cherished card in my hand, and the lucky one went home.

All this time, I continued to go to work as usual and was often stopped by the police at a stationary post near my home. If you live in the same place for a long time, you will understand me, I knew all the employees of our post well, because we often had to see each other. So one of them, seeing my license, was very surprised, and decided to find out how it could happen that the inspectors did not come to any of the meetings. At the time, they were fully aware of the events, because they stopped me from checking whether my license had been taken away or not. Later, he told me what was really going on. In the first case, their car broke down on the way to court. The second time, they were both out of town for personal reasons. And they missed the last meeting because, at that very time, they were on the carpet at the management.

Since then I have believed that Destiny herself is against unfair decisions of the traffic police. After all, I managed to maintain my status as an amateur motorist without any special effort.
