The BelAZ-75710 dump truck is by far the largest production vehicle in its class. At one time it was even included in the Guinness Book of Records. This huge machine has been serving the mankind with faith and truth for many years. They make such heroes in Belarus. They sell cars to many countries of the world, where they work in the most difficult areas. First of all, they work in various quarries and mines. Today let's talk about a couple of the most vivid facts about this giant.
1. A BIG ONE!
BelAZ-75710 is a really big car. The dimensions of the dump truck can be compared to a three-storey house. Overall dimensions of the truck are 20.6x9.75x8.17 meters. If such a car left for the Moscow Ring Road, it would occupy three lanes at once. If you put BelAZ across the highway, it would occupy all five lanes.
2. A real hero
The size of BelAZ-75710 itself does not have any determining value. Carrying capacity of the machine is much more important. With a weight of 360 thousand kg, the Belarusian tractor can carry another 450 thousand kg. Almost as many African elephants would weigh 66. The truck itself can be counted as 48 African elephants. Thus, a fully loaded tractor is more than 100 elephants!
3. Special wheels
One of the most important elements of BelAZ-75710 is its wheels. Each of them can withstand the load of more than 100 tons separately. At the same time, the wheel itself has a mass comparable to that of three cars. The diameter of the wheel is about 2.5 times bigger than the growth of an adult (about 4 meters). Each wheel stands approximately like the new Volkswagen Touareg. And all because it has a very tricky design - inside it almost a ton of metal is used to strengthen the wheel.
4. Good appetite
Two tanks BelAZ-75710 have a volume of 5600 liters. For a good working shift the machine empties them completely. For a better understanding of the issue, it should be added that the average motorist spends about the same amount of money in three years of driving. If we recalculate the consumption by "one hundred", it turns out that BelAZ consumes about 1300 liters of fuel. One refueling of such a car will cost about Br200 thousand.
5. Animal power
Rides BelAZ-75710 on six engines. Two of them are diesel. Four more units are electric. When the car is empty, only one diesel engine runs. The rest are included as they are loaded. The total output of BelAZ-75710 diesel units is 4660 horsepower. The torque reaches 9313 Nm. For comparison, the output of the motor of the Bugatti Chiron hypercar is 1500 horsepower.
Note: each diesel engine weighs 60 tons.
6. Question price
One such dump truck costs the buyer $8-9 million. One tonne of weight will cost $22,200. Approximately the same amount is the price per tonne for a C-class dump truck. If you recalculate the cost on horsepower, it is 1716 dollars, which corresponds to the figure already mentioned earlier Bugatti Chiron.
7. Guinness Book of Records
I'm sure everyone's still wondering why this car got on the Guinness list. In January 2014, the BelAZ-75710 truck was able to carry 503.5 tons of cargo. None of the same trucks in the CIS and Europe did anything like this. By the way, this figure is 50 tons higher than the design capabilities of the Belarusian bogatyr.
