Unlimited freedom. Or the Alternative History of Ian and Leela. Part 2.

I took his hand and took him with me. As soon as we walked into the house, Mom, all in tears, rushed to hug me.

-Lila! Lilac! Where were you? My father and I were so worried, we didn't know what to do anymore.

-Mom, just don't worry. Remember when I went to the woods to take a walk?

-Of course.

-I went far away from home, and then it got dark. I went home. But it was soon dark, and I couldn't find my way home.

-Poor girl. You must have been scared. Are you okay? How did you get home?

-Mom, I told you not to worry. I'm fine. Ian helped me. He walked me home. He's local.

-Ian?

-Yes, Mom, I forgot to introduce you. Mom, Dad, this is Ian, my savior. Ian, these are my parents.

-Nice to meet you. - With a smile, Ian said, I smiled too.

-Mom, why don't you treat the guest to tea?

-No, no, I have to go now. - Ian started objecting.

-Well, why don't you stay late? Will you have a cup of tea? There's something we need to thank you for. - Mom started it.

-No. Now I really need to go. And don't be thankful.

-Well, good. We don't hold anybody in a snare. - However, my mother agreed.

-Mom, do I walk Ian to the gate?

-Yes, of course.

Ian and I went out of the house, approached the gate and stopped.

-Thank you.

-Yes, you're welcome. See you next week at school?

-Yes, of course.

-Bye-bye.

-Bye.

Ian went out behind the gate, and I went into the house.

-Mom...

-What? -What?

-If what, I'm in my room.

-Okay.

I went to my room. I still had to put things out of my suitcase on the shelves. While I was putting things together, I was thinking about going for a walk through the woods today. Just think about what would have happened if it hadn't been for Ian. Ian...why was he wandering through the woods so late? Strange. Although I was in the woods at that time, too. Probably, it's just such a coincidence of circumstances. Someone had to save me. I was just lucky.

Spring breaks are in the school here now. Almost a week later I went to school. A new place, teachers, acquaintances. One thing makes me happy - after all, I have one acquaintance from the class. Eh, exams are coming soon. Graduated from school. And behind it the institute. Adult life. By the way, in a month and a half, I have a birthday. Just after the exams. I will turn seventeen.

Well, that's it! Enough about school and the future in general. What will happen, it will be.

I have already laid out all the things. Then I took a shower and went to bed. Strange as it may seem, I slept quite calmly in a new place. The next morning, when my parents were still asleep and I woke up, I decided to take a walk through the woods, but this time I didn't go far. The forest was so quiet and peaceful. So good.

All the next days of vacation were spent in the home. So I wasn't bored. Although I missed you a little, I only missed my friends. Although I didn't have a lot of friends, not even a lot of friends, but all my friends were great. It was fun with them. I missed them already.

The last night of vacation was the last time I prepared for school. To be honest, I was worried, but I tried not to show excitement. The next morning my parents took me to school. I got out of the car and slowly went into the building. All the teenagers of my age almost did not take their eyes off me. Do I not look like that? I looked at my clothes. Everything seemed okay. I decided not to pay attention to anybody and, having accelerated my step, I went on. Suddenly someone called me out. I was confused. I didn't know anyone here, did I? Although...exactly! It must be Ian. I turned around. And I was right.

-Hello. - I said.

-Hello. I already thought you wouldn't come.

-Why?

-Well, it's almost time to make a call. - Ian answered me.

-I see. Can I ask you a question?

-Of course.

-And in what classes do your sisters and brother study?

-We are all in the same class. Do you want to meet them?

The question took me by surprise.

-Probably, yes.

-Then let's go. There they are. - Ian said and pointed to three separate teenagers. We approached them.

-It's Leela. - He introduced me. - She will now study in our class.

-Nice to meet you. - One of Ian's sisters said, reaching out to me. I shook her. The girl was a little shorter than me with brown hair and a nice appearance. - My name was Nellie.

-It's nice to meet you, too.

-And I'm Carl. - My brother Ian told me. He was a little taller than Ian, his hair, just like his sister's, was brown. I shook his hand too. Ian's second sister didn't say anything, she didn't seem to like my company.

-And this is Erica. - Ian said Ian instead. But Erica didn't even look at me. And defiantly, showing that she didn't like me, she got in the car. - Well," Ian continued, "I guess we'll probably go. - Ian said, looking at me, and seeing that I was uncomfortable.

-Already..." Nellie said, and she looked at Ian. - Well, good. We'll see each other again, won't we?

-Of course. - I answered. I liked Nellie, and so did Karl, but Erica...why didn't she like me?
