"I know what you've been doing this summer," any beautician or hairdresser will tell you. In order not to get into trouble, you need to strictly follow all the rules of summer skin and hair care. But is it so easy when there are so many tempting snakes around? Let's tell you how not to bring yourself to beauty sin.
1 Sin: Don't renew your sunscreen during the day
It is necessary to start with the fact that almost all of them do not apply enough Sanskrin, and during the day it is erased or worn out. In addition, sunscreen also weakens under the influence of sweat and water. The type of skin also plays a significant role: since SPF cream creates a protective film, it is necessary to ensure its integrity.
You need to understand what your day looks like - spend it outside or sit in the office in front of your computer. In the first case, the protection should be updated every hour and a half or two hours to maintain the level indicated on the packaging. And in the second case, it will be enough to "tighten" it just before leaving. The easiest way to do this is with an SPF spray, couch or powder. In this way, you will protect yourself from all kinds of UV-related troubles and minimize the risk of premature skin aging.
2 Sin: Apply thermal water to dirty skin
Thermal water is part of skincare. Like any other product, it should be applied to cleansed skin. And it is essential to blot with a napkin because the water evaporates and takes away the moisture from the skin. If you apply it to raw skin or over make-up, it does not give any advantages, just refresh.
You should be much more careful with moisturizing sprays or bowls. Some of them contain alcohol, which means they can cause irritation if applied directly under the scorching sun. Leave them at home and use them to enhance the effect of the cream and fix the makeup.
3 Sin: Apply auto tanning to untreated skin
After a long winter, the skin is often dry or flaky. These areas are dyed more intensively when applied with a tanning machine and therefore may not look very aesthetically pleasing. In order to level the surface of the skin, it is advisable to exfoliate the day before and then apply a moisturizing cream to soothe and relieve irritation. You should use the tanning machine the next day - apply the product in a thin layer, carefully and evenly distributing it over the skin.
4 Sin: Do not rinse the micellar water
Micellar water consists of tiny molecules - micelles. They also act as surface-active substances, which, like a magnet, attract dirt without irritating the skin. But when we don't rinse off the micellar water, some surfactants remain on the face. If you have normal skin with a good protective barrier, there is nothing wrong with it. But for those who suffer from dryness and hypersensitivity, after using the product to rinse the skin with cool water.
5 Sin: Do not protect your hair from UV light
One of the main factors that can damage hair is oxygen, or rather its ability to oxidize pigment. The sun only intensifies this process, so sometimes strands burn out to two tones. That's why it's so important to use UV protection. Which product to choose depends on the condition of the hair and your preferences. Those who have never dyed their hair may well limit themselves to sunscreen shampoo and conditioner, using them in pairs or individually. But if the strands are blonde or clarified in three to five tones, it is better to supplement the care with irremovable products (oils or creams), because such hair is more porous and needs enhanced protection.
6 Sin: Wash your head once
The head always needs to be washed twice in a row, so first we wash off the mechanical dirt (dust, styling), and when we foam shampoo for the second time, we clean the hair and scalp as thoroughly as possible. Only after such washing the subsequent leaving in the form of conditioners and masks is effective. In addition, if you use the shampoo once, it can lead to grease and a feeling of not very clean hair.
Do not neglect the shampoo even after bathing. Seawater contains about 4% salt, which makes hair dry and brittle.
7 Sin: Lick or bite your lips
Every time you hurt your delicate lip skin, remember how long it will heal. If the lips are often windward and peel off, it is best to use a scrub designed specifically for this area on a regular basis. Alternatively, massage your lips with a soft toothbrush after a bath and apply a mask or thick coat of balm overnight.
Look for nourishing oils (e.g. shea butter), amino acids, hyaluronic acid, vitamins A and E in the form of lipsticks and balms - these ingredients are the best way to restore the skin of your lips and promote quick healing of cracks. Components that speed up the production of collagen and thus gradually give lips volume are still in fashion.
8 Sin: Bad face cleansing
We recommend that you cleanse your face in two steps: first, you remove dust and make-up that has accumulated on the surface of the day and then cleanse the skin itself. Speed also plays an important role here: many people wash off the product so quickly that it simply does not have time to work. Take the habit of massaging your face for at least a minute while you're distributing gel or foam, you'll soon notice how the quality of your skin has improved. However, remember that cleansing before squeaking is also harmful, so choose a mild formula that fits your skin type.
