Manicure with gel lacquer has long been popular not only among ultra-modern women, but also among the more conservative ladies. Advantages of such marigolds are obvious: it is possible to not think about a nail covering for a couple of weeks, and special care is not required. But there is one important "but": if it is time to take off the gel lacquer, and the nail salts do not break through, then you need to act very carefully. The cost of error can be a long-term spoiled nails.
A golden rule to remember for everyone who is going to do a manicure with gel lacquer: never tear off the detached layer of lacquer from the cuticle, even if you can't stand it at all. The lacquer penetrates tightly into all cracks and scratches during application, and if you tear it off, you risk destroying the crack even more. If the damage is at the edge of the nail, it can be cut quickly enough, but if the crack is at the base, then there will be a long period of nail repair.
In order to get rid of the old gel varnish as painlessly as possible, it is best to use a special device. By changing the nozzles, it is possible to cut down all layers of lacquer as gently as possible. So, in particular, make the masters in the salon. If there is no such device, it will have to be twisted with the use of improvised means. You will need a nail file, acetone, cotton rims, orange stick, foil and hand cream.
To really soften the lacquer, it should be treated with acetone for 10-15 minutes. As acetone dries very quickly and also has a rather unpleasant smell, masters advise to close the fingers with foil, putting inside a cotton pad soaked in the liquid to remove the lacquer.
At a preparatory stage it is necessary to cut out of cotton disks overlays on the size of a nail. This is done to ensure that the acetone does not get on the nails and does not dry them out. The gel lacquer must first be cut down with a file, do it without worrying about the health of your nails, the layer of gel lacquer is so thick that it will not damage the nail plate. Another important precaution: before the procedure cuticle should be treated with hand cream.
The next step is to soak the cotton pads with acetone and attach them to the nail plates with foil. After 15 minutes the cotton wool should be removed from the nail and the lacquer layer should be removed. If this does not happen, the remaining lacquer can be removed with an orange stick.
