1. La forêt - 16-year-old Jennifer disappeared on her way to school. The new chief of police Gaspar Decker and a local cop Virginie Musso quickly start looking for the girl. However, the search is complicated by the fact that the town is surrounded by dense forests for many miles, and if the girl gets lost, it will be difficult to find her. Unexpectedly, a local French language teacher comes to the police's rescue. She gets along well with her children; they trust her and can tell her what they do not want to tell the police.
But the further into the forest the investigation into the girl's disappearance progresses, the more obvious it is that Jennifer's friends and relatives hide something, disguise it, make fun of it and keep it all quiet.
What is wrong with 2017? The French television world announced a competition for the best "plagiarism"? Because I find it hard to believe that the same bright idea of "the forest" could come to different writers at the same time. So somebody has an idea of something spiz...mmm...sorry, secretly took it. Therefore, a slight taste of "déjà vu" in the series Les does exist.
What else did the writers "borrow"? French teacher. For some reason, she reminded me incredibly of the Twin Peaks Lady with a polo of Twin Peaks. No, not outwardly. The teacher, well, that's an incredibly "complicated, enigmatic, mysterious" nature, that's something. Constantly speaks by riddles, hints, keeps silent, claps eyelashes, presses lips... Not a woman, but French lace. At some point, this mystery lady almost became a key figure in the investigation, putting the police in the background. Are you serious? A teacher in a small town is smarter than the police?
Okay, okay. Finished the cove. But now to write that in the series "in principle, everything is not so bad," somehow uncomfortable, or something. But, in fact, it is paying attention to the rating.
I am serious. The forest coped with the task of a "watchable European detective" very well. Beautiful full-scale shooting, the sudden disappearance of a girl, the search leads all over the city, the strange fate of the teacher is intertwined in the plot, the intrigue intrigues, the denouement is unleashed logically ... Yes, and the actors in the series are cool: Samuel Labart (Two days for murder), Suzanne Clement (Versailles), Frederick Diefenthal (Taxi).
Not "OMG!", but to look with one eye - why not? Don't you want to? Don't put a cross on the show - soon summer, off-season, put it on the list-on-the-fly.
2. Price of a lie (La verdad) - on the quay a police patrol stopped a crying, frightened girl. Answering their questions, she said her name - Paula Gorcia. The fact is that Paula Gorcia went missing nine years ago. Paula's grandfather, a man far from poor, offered a million euros for any information about his missing granddaughter, but, alas! None of the clues were confirmed, and the family was desperate to find the daughter alive and well. And sometime after the girl disappeared, journalist Lolo Ruiz conducted his own independent investigation and published a scandalous book, where he openly "black and white" accused Gorcia's father of the death of his daughter.
And after so many years, a stranger declares that she is Paula Gorcia. Can you believe it? And I don't believe it. That is why not all family members are sure that there is really a little Paula before them.
I agree that the topic is not new. There have already been returnees - The Family, Thirteen. The price of lying is almost the same.
What makes the series stand out among the "brothers"? The main character. Unreal beauty Elena Rivera, as Paula, stunning.
She believes that "I'm walking beautiful along the street, and all the guys who meet me will get tangled, and those who are weaker and fall, fall, fall, and fall, and are stacked by themselves".
The wolf in the eyes, touching defenselessness, vulnerability, the presence of extraordinary thinking, multiplied by years of experience "twirling, twirling" men, playing on their vanity and ego ... isn't that a formula to get everything you want from the seniors? Let's add the joy of the family here, that the daughter is alive and we get the perfect ground for doubting the authenticity of Paula's personality. It turned out to be very colorful.
Of course, sixteen episodes are not worth watching just because of Elena River, because the main leitmotif of the series - "in front of us is a lie-Paul or a miracle happened and the girl returned to her native foam? - Not everyone is interested. But if you're a fan of the Spanish shows, then it's worth watching.
The price of lies for those who easily forgives the Spaniards story holes, obvious inconsistencies in the narrative, sometimes illogical behavior of characters, the raid of "soap" and exaggerated melodramatic in the relations of the characters, endless conversations and heated debates, broken hands, "tears, drools".
However, behind all these "pranks" there is such a discouragingly kind naive that you unwittingly get involved in the "labyrinth of the plot" and start getting high.
If you have a desire to rest, relax, not to strain, and do it you prefer to do it in front of the screen - take a chance! Who knows, maybe the price of a lie, just the same magic pill.
