Rapid development of technologies changes even the most familiar techniques beyond recognition. A modern TV set is not just a screen on which you can watch news and TV programs, but a high-tech device and a harmonious part of the home interior. Bright examples of next-generation TVs are Samsung's lifestyle lines The Frame and The Serif. The devices perfectly complement the design of any living space, for which they have been awarded many prizes. In addition, they are equipped with advanced SmartTV features, allowing access to any content in a few clicks.
The Frame and The Serif's image quality is the responsibility of Samsung Electronics' signature QLED display on quantum dots. It provides 100% color volume, accurate color reproduction (more than a billion shades). Maximum detail in both light and dark scenes is achieved by supporting the HDR10+ standard. The QLED screen is not subject to the burnout effect, so that static images such as screensavers, photos or pictures can be reproduced over a long period of time.
Latest in design
The Serif's Lifestyle TV was developed in collaboration with the famous duo of French industrial designers, brothers Ronan and Erwan Burullek. Not only do they work with leading design firms, but their work has been exhibited at numerous exhibitions around the world. Burulleks have been recognized around the world for their expressive, yet very cozy and emotional design style. Their furniture design philosophy is also reflected in The Serif: the product has to be new, but at the same time create an emotional connection with people.
The Serif's original look is instantaneous: the stylish TV body in profile is reminiscent of the title letter I typed in The Serif with its serif font. The narrow side panel extends to the base and acts as a stand at the bottom. The textured back of the TV hides all interfaces and wires, so you can place it anywhere in the room by placing it on the stand, table or legs that come with the set. Thanks to the unique Ambient mode, the TV can display weather or family photos when switched off. In addition, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullecke developed two exclusive Ambient backgrounds inspired by the beauty of the world: a leaf-shaped pattern and textured fabric. The design approach is visible in all elements of the product: from the elegant white remote control to The Serif box with a brief description of the TV, which is minimalistic and concise.
Interactive picture
The Frame was created for the connoisseurs of beauty: TV sets have a unique design in the form of a picture in a graceful frame and a screen with an ultra-high resolution of 4K-resolution. A distinctive feature of this line is the "Painting" mode, in which the device becomes a personalized work of art, which displays your favorite paintings or photos. The Frame's Art Shop already has around 1,200 works from the world-renowned collections of museums such as the Prado, Van Gogh, Tate, Albertine and many others. In addition, this summer the collection was enriched with paintings by famous Russian and European artists from the State Hermitage Museum collection, as well as masterpieces by Rogier van der Weiden, Peter Bruegel Senior, Peter Paul Rubens, Vincent Van Gogh, Jacques-Louis David, Georges Søhr and Fernand Knopf. The works selected from the extensive collection of the Royal Belgian Fine Arts Museums for The Frame date from the 15th century to the present day. Thanks to the great variety of themes and genres of paintings, everyone can find what they like in the collection. In addition, several works can be displayed one after the other on a single TV screen.
The Frame has a "single invisible connection" that solves the problem of eternally tangled wires. All cables are connected in one almost invisible wire that runs from the TV to the One Connect module. The device can be placed where it's convenient. Thanks to the wall mount included with The Frame, the TV can easily be placed close to the wall. However, this is only one solution: there is an option to buy a universal stand for mounting the TV on a table or drawer.
The Samsung engineers have also taken care of the energy efficiency of the device: thanks to the integrated motion sensor, The Frame switches on the "Picture" mode when someone enters the room and turns it off when everyone leaves the room. Also in art mode, the TV automatically adjusts the brightness according to the lighting in the room, so the device looks like a real picture. The Frame and Serif TVs are available in the official Samsung Electronics online store and in partner stores.
