Coin Collection
Back in 1999, being still a pupil of the 3rd grade, I received an amazing coin with Pushkin for change in the shop. Then it upset me, I thought it was a fake, asked the saleswoman to exchange it, but she assured me that it was a very special and rare coin...
Since then, I have been collecting jubilee coins of modern Russia. Later came out 2-ruble coins with Gagarin, my grandmother loved him very much and each folded in a box.
At first there were a lot of such coins in circulation and it was interesting to find something new. I always went through the change. A few years later they started to issue a series of bimetallic coins "Ancient Cities of Russia" - this is my favorite series. I waited a long time for my favorite native Vologda to be released, and fortunately it happened in 2007. But I couldn't get it "for change", so I continued to wait and collect what I would get!
Somewhere around 2010 in our city of Vologda, through the Internet, found a club of like-minded people, some copies were exchanged, but the desired one was never there. At that time, the fashion for collecting jubilee coins began to develop and they became less and less and less common by chance. That's when I bought my first album for storage. I gladly inserted my savings into the necessary holes, but there were a lot of empty, empty windows, fortunately more than half of them managed to accumulate by a simple collection at "face value"! So the goal was to fill everything!
But new coins more and more often settled in the hands of bank employees and were resold several times more expensively. A few years later, I still managed to buy the same coin, which I had long dreamed of. In addition to it, I also bought a few pieces. But from the purchase did not feel the pleasure, as from the "Hurray, caught, such was not yet!
After 2015, jubilee coins almost stopped coming into free circulation, occasionally caught repeated samples, printed in large print runs. However, once in 2014, the bank issued "Sochi 25 rubles". At present, I am practically not engaged in collecting, as everyone can buy it, it is no longer interesting, and issue new coins now a little.
I haven't shown it to children yet, they will grow up, and I will tell them about Pushkin and Gagarin. So far, only the 3-year-old son collects the coins that fell out of Dad's pocket, and carefully puts them in a piggy bank "on a steam train ...!
Collections of wrappers, coins and bells
We're avid collectors. Collections of calendars, stamps, badges have been going on since my parents' time. But especially children like the collection of chocolate wrappers and wrappers. We replenish it with pleasure. The most valuable copy of it is a wrapper from a chocolate bar "Fairy tales of Pushkin" - I remember how she herself looked at it since childhood - she is from childhood of my mother.
Children like the wrappers of Soviet candy, in the store they ask to buy the same, it is good that some manufacturers retain the classic design of wrappers.
We also collect coins. Their son gladly puts them by years and face value, bought special albums for this purpose.
Modern coins are collected in series, all relatives are connected - they supply everything. Also it is interesting to consider coins and banknotes of other countries - we leave after travelling a little for a collection.
After the trip to the Czech Republic they began to collect souvenir coins - they depict the places and cities where we visited. The most interesting copy in our collection from Yaroslavl, Kolya himself minted this coin - hit with a heavy hammer!
The collection of bells also reminds us of our travels. I started to collect them back in my student years, now we continue to collect the whole family. They are brought to us by our relatives from travels, sent as a gift by friends, but the main part is brought by us ourselves. We try to choose from different materials, different shapes and sizes. This year's collection has been significantly expanded after the cruise along the Volga and Sheksna, as well as trips to Togliatti and Arkhangelsk region.
The most beloved and unusual is the Czech crystal bell from our Prague trip. It was very difficult to bring it - it is so fragile! They were most worried about him!
Just recently our collection was placed in a beautiful old buffet, but it is already crowded there. We are thinking about expanding8 the space - it is so great to travel. Then it's interesting to remember the adventures, looking at our collection.
