Darya Efremova in her review "Love, grilled chicken and mysticism during a minibus" (newspaper "Culture") compares Nekrasova's prose with Pavel Pepperstein's "Mythogenic love of caste" and for a few reason remembers "new realism":

"Yevgeniya Nekrasova's vivid debut with a series of short stories "Unhappy Moscow" and therefore the novel "Kalechina-Malechina" <...> allowed the reviewers to right away say the author's handwriting. <...> within the new assortment Sestromam, the author offers no less spectacular literary play: as if we tend to had penetrated into the depths of consciousness of Oli Meshcherskaya, the heroine of simple Breath, and thought of it through the blending reality and barbed grotesque of Alexei Remizov's mythopoetics, adding a growing degree of agony of Marienhof's Cynics. <...> subtle style, passion for experimentation, daring treatment of pictures of mass optionality and lore material, and most significantly, a shot to make a mythopoetics of these days - this optics permits U.S.A. to check Evgeniya Nekrasova with Pavel Pepperstein, the author of the cult genre novel "Mythological Love of Castes". however if the author of "MLC" deliberately avoids ethical assessments (one of the key ideas of his philosophical discourse "diet" - "dietary" contemplation), then Nekrasova hardly aspires to metaposition. the dearth of comfort within the world delineated could be a real pain within the neck. <...> in step with all the canons of latest realism, the character rolling on Associate in Nursing machine mustn't have caused sympathy, except for some reason we tend to sympathise with the heroes of Nekrasova..."

Alexandra Guseva within the review "Russian prose: Eugenia Nekrasova, Vladimir Aristov, Frank Stella Prydon and Julia Govorova ("Reading together") calls the most theme "Sisters" escape, unleash from bondage:

"Finding an area to begin, obtaining eliminate the "little, toy hell" and spreading the wings is sort of a miracle bird - one in every of the key motifs during this assortment. However, no person are going to be ready to catch up with to the "worldly love" and freedom. So, "walking out of the blue", the most character of the story "Sisters" falls into the huge emptiness, that has no place for "kinship" - it looks, the most condition for salvation during this world. Overcoming the fragmentation and returning to the "mother tongue", to the origins <...> become as if Associate in Nursing "antidote" to any of the injuries; a long-awaited remission for those that area unit defendant of guilt.

Constant on lore tradition and everyday uneven speech, Nekrasova's prose could be a dense, homogenized "substance". even as conspiracies within the novel "Dry Land", the author creates a canvas of text: consonant words fill the cavities, echo one another and strengthen the hypnotic rhythm during which the characters live ...

Maria Lebedeva in her review "They do not say 'hell', they assert 'here' ('Reading'), on the contrary, Yevgeniya Nekrasova considers the most property of prose to be intermediate, unsure and borderline:

"The main feature of the non-Christian world is its existence on the border, its unsteady, as during a dream, uncertainty and underdecoration. what's frozen within the intermediate stage is probably capable of being each, however in observe it's hanging out at the intersection of notions. <...> the globe of the district, as in fairy tales and conspiracies, comforts itself with Associate in Nursing notional specificity; the actual fact that the wanted needle within the egg and therefore the egg within the duck offer the illusion of credibleness. <...>

Moving on to a narrative, conspiracy passage, Nekrasova doesn't U.S.A.e this language to require off from reality and permit us to understand the terrible during a milder kind. this can be not even a mythological rethinking of reality. Home, kimoras, Gamayun and even with them organically match into a broken reality (there is even a social network of their own for the evildoers, and there's no damage from them in general: devils, and that they simply lazy - folks have modified everything for them). And violence has taken root within the same organic method - no less unnatural in essence than kikimorah with a line...

Artem Roganov within the review "6 books of the season: what quite non-children's literature happy U.S.A. last summer ("I need to read") tells however the theme of normal horror is combined in Nekrasova's texts with lore motifs:

"Stories from the new assortment of the competitor of the "Big Book" award Evgeniya Nekrasova unites attention to the personal, daily life of individuals, wherever in a technique or another there's conjointly a standard, however severe horror. <...> The salvation for the heroes trapped within the nightmares of life is most frequently flight and/or miracle. however even once a miracle happens, it's still perceived as a image for madness or a desperate exploit. This allegory makes the stories appear as if myths, bearing in mind that the parable is Associate in Nursing encrypted reality. Besides folks, the globe of Eugenia Nekrasova is colonized by barely visible cruel gods, whose mercy and fury don't yield to straightforward human logic. In fact, it's nature itself, the planet - typically it saves a person, offers him an additional try of hands, and typically, on the contrary, as if revenge for the willful, evil freedom, as within the title story "Sisters".
