Scientists measured the level of happiness from the moment they planned their vacation to its end. They found that the effect of anticipation increased the level of happiness for 8 weeks before the trip. After returning home, this indicator quickly returned to its basic values.

The Journal of Happiness Studies published a similar study. It looked at how thank-you letters affect happiness. The experiment involved 219 people who wrote three letters a week over a period of three weeks.

The results showed that writing thank-you notes increased happiness and satisfaction with the participants' lives, while at the same time reducing depressive symptoms.

Researchers found that people who believe in the idea of unity are generally more satisfied with their lives and feel happy. Believing in unity in this context can mean anything from religious belief to scientific belief that everything is interconnected in nature.

Numerous studies confirm the usefulness of this practice for happiness. For example, the University of Alabama has found that only a 20-minute walk in the city park will make you happier.

British scientists also confirm this thesis. They found out that walks in warm sunny days near the sea were the most useful for happiness. At the same time, the test subjects felt happier at any natural locations compared to urban ones.

But the most amazing discovery was made by scientists from the Japanese Osaka University. According to their data, the current temperature has a greater impact on our happiness than variables such as wind speed and humidity or even the average temperature during the day. It turned out that the best indicator for happiness is the temperature of 14°C.
