Visiting the law

The prince left the forest, and then continued to the southeast, and visited the monk Sanghapo near the city. In the ascetic forest, he saw many people who practiced hardships and tortured their bodies in all sorts of strange ways. They think that as long as they do this, they will be able to live and enjoy themselves in the afterlife. But how can an unreasonable "suffering cause" get a reasonable "music fruit"?

The Prince thought that this method could not give up life and death, so he stayed for one night and left.

Refuse to return to the palace

When the net rice king heard the news that the Prince had become a monk, he was very sad. He immediately sent the confidants and ministers of the palace to chase the prince. They saw the prince sitting in the lower part of the tree and meditation. Then he went forward to persuade him to go back to the palace. The prince answered Say:

"I am a monk to relieve the pain of being born, old, sick, and dead. I am determined to be determined and will never return to the palace."

The courtier had no choice but to leave five people, such as Chen Ru, to accompany the prince.

Give in words

The prince continued to travel south, crossed the rapids of the Ganges, and came to Mogao, and he was in the capital of the city. The residents saw his grace and admired it.

The king, the mother of the mother, knew it, and asked him to meet in the palace. When the king saw his solemn appearance, heard his deep philosophical, greatly impressed, earnestly asked him to stay to educate the people, and would like to let the throne.

However, the Prince sought to relieve the path of life and death and resolutely declined the king's good intentions.

Practice

The prince came to a forest valley near Wangshe City and visited two famous religious masters, Arolu and Yutaro. The two thought that the method of monasticism should be: first to be a monk, to be a living, to practice meditation.

The prince stayed here for several months, and the meditation realm was very high. However, there was still no income for the liberation of life and death, so he had to leave.

After the farewell, the prince came to the Nilian Chan River, the south side of Mount Gaya, and met with Chen Ru and other five people, where they worked together to meditate and meditate.

The prince eats a hemp and a meter every day or every other day, and then eats it again on the 7th. This hard life makes his body thin and skin-connected; he has been through six years.

Give up the ascetic

Six years of asceticism still failed to relieve life and death. The Prince was helpless and had to give up this practice. He went to the Nien Chan River to bathe, wash the dirt on his body, and received the support of the cowherd and nipples. Therefore, the health of the body and mind gradually recovered.

Accompanied by his acquaintance Chen Ru and the other five people, but misunderstood his doctrine is not strong, quietly left him, went to the Bolanai Luyeyuan to continue to repair their asceticism.

Falling heart

The prince came to Mount Gaya alone, under a tree of Biluo, sitting on the grass and swearing:

"If I can't prove that I am not upright, I would rather let this body smash and I can't afford it."

Under the tree, he calmed down to the path of life and death. In a late night before the enlightenment, he appeared in the meditation to disturb the demon. The demon sent a witch to seduce him, and the magic soldier would threaten him in the future. Fortunately, the prince’s thoughts were firm and he was never shaken by the devil. As a result, the devil was invincible and he was hidden.

Wu Cheng Dao Buddha

After the prince descended the demons, he removed all distractions and used the highest wisdom to think and explore. At the dawn of the eighth day of December, when the stars shined on the earth, they finally realized the truth of the universe and completed the supreme sense. Since then, the world has called him "Buddha."
