Why is a man sad?

Yesterday I came back from Brazil, from Rio de Janeiro.

The country lags far behind Russia in its development. The locals are quite poor. But what surprised me is that they look very happy. I have never seen people in Odessa who walk on the beach and sell corn, beer, smile, and even more so I have not noticed the happiness in their eyes. Here I was surprised. They are so happy and joyful. They sang songs selling their goods. They did it so much fun that when I got home, I still remember their shouts, though I don't understand Portuguese at all. They were joking with other people on the beach, they were laughing. They were so creative in selling their goods!

I thought, why are they so happy, and our Russian people, who are much wealthier and live in a more developed world, are far from being like that?

Everything would be fine. But yesterday, when I got back to business, I noticed how concerned and puzzled I was again. And this has led me to certain thoughts that I want to share with you.

Where do you get the state of concern, sadness, and any other condition from? Why is the person sad?

Everything is very simple! If you think right now about what is disappointing to you or about your problems, you are immediately in a negative state. If you think about your dreams and bright future, suddenly comes a state of happiness and joy.

That is, where the focus - there is energy. And such is your condition.

What can you think about?

I decided to categorize what people think about.

I have placed these categories in order from negative to the most positive and energetic.

1. About problems

A problem is a situation or state of affairs that does not suit a person. That is, something that a person does not like. By focusing on what you don't like, a person's condition gets worse. It is thoughts about problems that create sadness, frustration, concern and other negative feelings.

2. The objectives and goals

Tasks and objectives are what needs to be done. This category of thoughts borders on the category of thoughts about problems. And thoughts about goals and objectives are not so positive and energetic.

3. New future, dreams, desires

Thoughts about dreams, about a new future, about desires always give energy and joy. Why did I put this category on the 3rd place, because dreams give so much energy? That's because it's very easy to switch to "I don't have it now" from dreams to "I don't have it now", and we immediately fall into category 1.

4. The good thing that we have now.

The other name of this state is "gratitude". When a person appreciates what he has now, he is in a good state of joy. His energy is growing.

5. To be here and now.

By myself, I have noticed that the state of "here and now" is accompanied by either a complete absence of thoughts, or a state of happiness and joy. I usually create or create something in this state. There may be thoughts in this state, but there are very few and they are very pure and light. People who have learned to be "here and now" the happiest and most joyful because they are in the stream. I'm sure you'll ask why this is the most positive and energetic state of mind. In this state all positive and all energy is inside. This is a very strong inner state.

Surprisingly, only the thoughts of problems bring a person into a negative state. But a person thinks about problems most of his time! That's why people are sad!

That's where the state of concern, sadness, discontent comes from.

A person wants to solve the problem so much that he directs all his energy to this problem. Human energy has a creative power. This energy creates what it is directed at. So a new problem is created, then a new one and a new one, and a person thinks more and more about them. A person wants to avoid problems so much that he gets into them over and over again.

Man is used to thinking the way he thinks!

He is used to thinking about problems and therefore feels as he feels.

Any habits can be changed! Including the habit of thinking about problems.

What do I have to do to change my habits?

It's just that you can't get rid of a habit like that. It can only be replaced.

So, from the 4 positive points above, please choose the category you want to think about.

If you want it to be easier, choose the category in which you already now stay most often. For example, if you are used to acting and thinking little, then choose category 5. If you appreciate what you have now, choose category 4. And so on.

Train yourself to think about something from the chosen category.

It is "train"! That is, you need to make efforts and consciously direct your thoughts where you want to go. If you train well, the usual model of thinking will change.
