Whatever thoughts you transmit to the universe, it's gonna show up in your life. The law of attraction and materiality of thoughts. Have you heard of this? I am sure it is.
The film "Secret" and "Down the rabbit hole", the book "Law of Attraction" and "Transurfing Reality" inspired people to imagine the desired reality to be realized.
It is time to sum up and draw conclusions.
Have you seen a huge number of people in expensive cars? I don't think so. Your friends, who visualized, became successful and rich? Everybody achieved ambitious goals, attracted love and happiness to their lives? Not everything is far off.
But why? After all, positive thoughts had to materialize! There are several classic excuses:
- In addition to positive thoughts, they transmitted doubts;
- Wrong visualization;
- There was little visualization because there was a lack of perseverance and patience.
The explanations look plausible, but do not reveal the real reason for the failure, which is hidden in the depths of our brain. But let's look at it in order.
What is the basis of the statement about the materiality of thoughts?
To substantiate the materiality of thoughts, we often cite an experiment from quantum physics, where in the absence of an observer the particles show the nature of the wave, and in its presence behave like ordinary particles.
If the behavior of the particles depends on the observer, it means that all people influence the world around them. Yes, it is true. Then we come to the conclusion that thoughts are material and everything we think about will sooner or later appear in our reality.
Is that right? Well, no.
In fact, the experiment shows that the very fact of observation, not thoughts, is important. Regardless of the thoughts, the result is always the same. Moreover, the observer in the experiment is not a person, but a sensor that has no thoughts or emotions.
The conclusion about the materiality of thoughts can be made only if the behavior of particles depends on the thoughts and desires of the observer. But we know that this does not happen.
Accordingly, there is no connection between the statement about the materiality of thoughts and the famous experiment of quantum physics.
Are thoughts really material?
Let's put aside our beliefs and look at the facts. It is better to judge by fruit, isn't it?
Let me ask you something. Did you dream of being the strongest or the most beautiful as a child? Did you have fantasies about wealth, money and opportunities? I'm sure they were.
I'm sure the weakest boys in the class fantasized about strength, revenge and respect. And the ugly girls dreamed of being slim and attractive. Children tend to fantasize and dream, it is natural.
Now let's look at the results of visualization.
If the Law of Attraction works, you will not find weak boys and ugly girls in schools. Everyone will be well dressed, have an expensive phone and come to school in luxury cars.
Everyone will be outstanding: someone releases the next album, someone writes interesting novels, someone wins at beauty contests. All students should correspond to their ideas about the ideal!
But it is not so. Students dream a lot, imagining themselves in the desired reality, but their result is clearly not in favor of the Law of Attraction.
What about fears?
If our worst expectations were to be met, you would not be reading this article now. Many would have been stabbed to death by a maniac in the backyard a long time ago, and the rest of the apartment would have burned down. And in general, the Earth would have been destroyed by a global catastrophe long ago.
But this is not happening, is it? Most of our fears never materialized. Does this speak in favor of the Law of Attraction? Obviously not.
Maybe it is because of conflicting thoughts?
Perhaps you will say that the thoughts did not materialize because of the contradictory message sent to the Universe. The children dreamed of being the most, but doubted it. The universe received two mutually exclusive signals.
Not a bad counterargument, if not for one "but". Let's take people with phobias. For example, a person is sure that his neighbors want to poison him with gas and thinks everyone who doubts it is a fool.
The message to the Universe is clear: sooner or later I will be poisoned. But what about the fact? In fact, such people live for years and even decades. The unequivocal message to the universe does not work.
What about those who believe in materiality? They know that there can be no doubt. Do they get everything they want? Not always. Often they live in bad conditions and earn little, despite the active visualization.
What does this mean? I think we don't need any comments.
